Vice President Joe Biden attended mass and received communion on Sunday at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York where the mass was celebrated by Cardinal Timothy Dolan.


Timothy Cardinal Dolan, with his omnipresent smile, was back at St. Patrick’s Cathedral for Palm Sunday mass — his first return to the pulpit since the conclave that elected Pope Francis.

Our pastor makes it very clear at every Mass where there are many who do not usually attend that Holy Communion is not available for those that are not prepared and asks the Congregation to examine their conscience before the offering.
Even at a Wedding Mass or a Funeral Mass.

Meanwhile, many other denominations meddle in US politics all the time.
The pols need to take down the Catholic Church first without realizing that many other people of faith will come to the defense of the church for the pols interfering with the 1st Amendment.

I have been thinking about this, and wonder if he threatened to make sure the tax-exampt status of the Church was revoked? If he told the USCCB that all the “pro-abortion catholics” would band together to pass legislation revoking the tax status, I could see how the USCCB would back down. It is really the only thing that makes sense, since most of the bishops routinely look the other way when Biden, Pelosi, Cuomo, etc. receive Holy Communion.

I had lunch with a friend this week, a federal magistrate. He said Biden’s threat was to bring a federal investigation into the pedophile scandal in the Church. I’m sure he has also threatened the tax exempt status. Regardless he seems to have the USCCB in a state of fear.

It’s all the more remarkable that a few bishops have gone ahead and refused Holy Communion to the pro-abort politicians in their dioceses.

Cardinal Burke has been truly courageous in his strong stance against pro-abort politicians. It’s too bad his statements have gone unheeded.
