Gabrielle Giffords’ Husband Pulls Daughter’s Dog Off Sea Lion In Laguna Beach
LAGUNA BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Gabrielle Giffords’ husband pulled his daughter’s dog off of a sea lion in Laguna Beach over the weekend.
The incident, which was captured on video, happened around 1:40 p.m. Saturday at Goff Cove Beach by the Montage Laguna Beach.
Retired astronaut Mark Kelly’s 18-year-old daughter, who was on vacation with her father and Giffords, was walking the American bulldog on a leash when the 65-pound dog saw the sea lion, ran off and attacked.
Nathan, who declined to give his last name, happened to be having lunch nearby when he started to film the chaotic scene on his cellphone.
The graphic video, which he later posted on YouTube, showed the young girl screaming while her dog had the sea lion by the neck.
Two other women tried to help until Kelly finally arrived and forced the dog off of the animal.
The sea lion later died.

In the article it says “ Retired Astronauts have immunity from charges”...What is that all about? They can’t be charged with crimes because they are retired Astronauts?
Bottom line, there is no Rule of Law in America, anymore.
What’s next for the dog? Small children? Babies?
An American Bull Dog is not a “Pit Bull.” You really ought to learn something about dog breeds, especially what the different working-dog breeds were bred for. And any dog can be animal-aggressive (that’s the Wolf in them)!
Just a couple of weeks ago a man was charged with a crime for simply riding on a manatee. Maybe Mr. Kelly should be jailed for the death of this baby seal.

The ordinary citizen would be charged with violation of the Marine Mammal Protection Act and the NOAA SWAT team (stormtroopers) would take you out.
A former neighbor had one. He used it to hunt the local feral Russian boars. He NEVER let it outside of the double fenced yard! Never!
Where’s PETA??? Where’s the Laguana Beach officials that would ARREST anyone else?

Probably. This bastard dog needs to be put down. If you own a vicious dog like this your ass needs to keep it on a harness AND muzzel. Really this family is shady as hell.
Any normal dog, even a protective one might run at the seal and bark and snap but this dog got a death grip on the throat lasting over four minutes. Why aren’t the authorities taking that monster and putting it down, because it’s clearly a killer.
I saw the dog, it’s def got pitbull in it. A LOT of pit bull.
