Well the cops did not kill him.
They just served him, and he commenced to wilding.

Beats me.

We’re down to reserving the Yuke for “necessary trips” and driving the Taurus wagon.

Waiting on warm weather ‘cuz the Harleys get 45mpg.

Hope & change!

You are correct about that.

The guy is most likely a thug of some sort. But lots of thugs kill themselves.

Conjecture about the incident is a little scary. I hope noone on this thread ever sits on a jury for me..even for a contested traffic ticket. (yeah, I know.there are no juries for traffic tickets).

This guy maybe guilty as all get out. I don’t know..do you?

mylife summed it up better than I could.

If it were you and you were innocent of charges, would you take off running and shoot at cops?

Highly doubtful.

In fact, I can’t think of *anything* that I would prefer to kill myself rather than face charges for.

Then again, I’m not a pedo.

Maybe he had a little bit of conscience left.

I would hazard a guess that he felt it necessary to escape justice.

So he did.

The kids’ nightmares, however, are just beginning.

Things are not always how they appear, but they usually are.

I never sit on jurys.

I say “get a rope”, and they send me home.
I know that is a bad attitude that leaves us with wishy washy tards on jurys.

Actually I have sat a some jury’s and let the fellow go because it was clearly BS.

I’ve been on the wrong end of perception in the legal system myself.

I like to believe that my good name will clear me of false accusation.

That could well be.

“Then I’m not a pedo”

That is the operatative phrase.
But like I said..he could be a drug crazed kook.

He could be a very young man that knew he faced prison and lifetime of continual abuse. Guilty or innocent.

Around here ..accused=guilty.

But we will never know.

Don’t count on that.

The thing here is that, there were “complaint’s” of sexual abuse of children, and I understand how volatile a complaint that could be.

David Koresh was gaining public sympathy till that charge was leveled.

BUT, this guy was shooting at the cops and endangering the public.
Beyond that, the cops did not shoot him, He offed himself.

I am not second questioning the cops at all here.

I understand your trepidation in this current environment.

I am sorry if you were abused wrongly.

I hear what you are saying, Sal.

But what if this guy didn’t do what he was accused of? And knew he was going down anyway?

It really doesn’t matter...we will never know.

Pointless argument.

It makes about as much sense as the step-great-uncle who got drafted for WW2 so he went up in the woods and shot himself.

He was ‘afraid he’d get killed’ so he killed himself.

He had at least a 50/50 chance of coming home alive.

The driver had at least a 50/50 chance of not going to jail.

He was either guilty or innocent.

He chose to act guilty.

‘It really doesn’t matter...we will never know.”

And whose fault is that?

His and his, alone.

He should have taken his chances that he’d be exonerated if he were, in fact, innocent.
