Two-Headed Bull Shark Found in Gulf of Mexico, Scientists Say
NBC Miami ^ | Tuesday, Mar 26, 2013 | Brian Hamacher

Rare discovery made off Florida coast, scientists say bull shark first of its kind

Sharktopus and Dinoshark may be the products of Hollywood, but a two-headed bull shark found in the Gulf of Mexico is all too real, according to scientists with Florida Keys Community College and Michigan State Community College.

The scientists have confirmed that the shark, discovered in April 2011, is the first of its kind and is a single shark with two heads and not conjoined twins.

"This is certainly one of those interesting and rarely detected phenomena," MSU assistant professor of fisheries and wildlife Michael Wagner said in a statement from the school Monday. "It’s good that we have this documented as part of the world’s natural history, but we’d certainly have to find many more before we could draw any conclusions about what caused this."

The shark was found by a fisherman when he opened the uterus of an adult shark. It died shortly thereafter and was brought to the marine science department at FKCC, where it was then transported to Michigan State.

Wagner and his team discovered two distinct heads, hearts and stomachs, with the rest of the body joining together in the back to form a single tail.

Creatures found with abnormalities like this usually die shortly after birth, and the two-headed bull shark had little, if any, chance to survive in the wild, Wagner said.

Other species, including blue sharks and tope sharks, have been born with two heads, as well as lizards and snakes, Wagner said.

It’s all those chemicals that, despite never having been tested, were purchased from Soros’ company with tax dollars to profit off the BP oil spill. At least that is as good an explanation as any.

Acceptance into Utobitha pending Best Friend Tabitha's approval. Best Friend Tabitha reserves the right to turn down applicants for any reason, including whimsy or boredom. Acceptance into Utobitha open to mutants only. Former human servants of the Master conditionally accepted for purposes of centaur-feeding duties. Dismemberment may occur.

Ever since I played New Vegas last Summer, I have had the urge to go a Trip there.

See Hoover Dam, The Grand Canyon, Hell I might even stop by Zion National Park.

(I no longer have any desire to visit D.C.)

If I only had the money :(

I always wondered how accurate the game was. I think there are mountains there where their shouldn't be. But thank you for telling me!

It would be erry going to vist where your house once stood.

One more thing Norm, is there any truth to Rumor that all Vegas residence are slightly crazy from their overuse of Psychologly damaging Pre-War technology?

Mostly agoraphobic from growing up in vaults...

It is VERY accurate. Considering they had to scale it down for obvious reasons, you can easily navigate the game on knowing the real landmarks. There are of course liberties taken, but geographicly, it’s really close.

The turnoff from Novac to Boulder City/Hoover and the rest stop is about as close as it gets, as is the drop into Vegas.

Redrock is off, but again, the scale/’compromises had to be made.

I often wonder about Fallout 3/ DC and how close that is.

"The turnoff from Novac to Boulder City/Hoover and the rest stop is about as close as it gets, as is the drop into Vegas."

That is SO COOL!

Not too many games take place in Kansas City.

Though Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel (I think) has a mission in KC.

But I never played it and from the map on the Wiki, it doesn't look similar at all :\

Ps: In the game, my house was an open field between the UFO and the plant vault. Probably where one of the Raider barns was.

Lols!

I think that is where I completed Lily's Loyalty quest.

So that means you don't live too far from where Jacobstown is eh? (or I guess that would be further away in real life eh?)

Ain't That a Kick in the Head!?

I have had the fantasy of visiting Vegas and taking a trip to Goodsprings and crank up the Mojave Radio Songs for the Hell of it!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goodsprings,_Nevada

It is WAYYYYYY far from Vegas. In the game, wehat is Goodsprings is probably one of the old abandoned mining towns that dot the area.

Loyalty quest: Yup, that’s about where I was. Chyenne and Buffalo would be somewhere around there. Maybe closer to New Vegas due to scale, but generally.

On and the hill to the NCR base in the south really IS like that. Many a vehicle gave it’s life going up it in August.

No statues though ;)

And Hoover is VERY close to dead on going in.

Wasn't a bunch of Toxic waste also dumped there is real life?

That is horrible! Not to mention the REAL fallout from the Nevada Test site!

"And Hoover is VERY close to dead on going in."

Now I will Have to visit! Hoover dam is so big it sifted the tilt of the earth by a small (but measurable) degree.

Or maybe so when you are nailed to the walls of Hoover Dam, your body facing west so you may watch your world die

IS the Divide a Real Place?

I couldn't find no towns in California or Nevada called Hopeville.

Not that I’m aware of. Probably wholly invented for the story. Physically/real world, that area is nothing but endless nothing. And VERY inhospitable. Of course, the whole area of the game is that way. Why humans ever settled here (I;m near Bullhead City AZ) is beyond me. But air conditioning helps!

I will be forever glad the desert tortoise was not harmed in any way during the game though ;)

Except for the ones that were mutated into Lakelurks.

Thanks for Telling me about the Divide, I wasn't sure (although I was quite disappointed we never went to Area 51, that seemed like a Natural DLC idea)

Having lived in Vegas a few years, it’s scarey how accurate that game is to navigate ;)

You know, the fun part is going back to Las Vegas now and comparing the game map to the actual terrain and landmarks.

It’s right there in your picture! Can’t you see it? ;)

What would be Novac is another plot of dirt and rock. If you had to get technical, there is a historical marker at the 95 intersection that could arguably be called “Novac” with a LOT of imagination... But that’s all there is there. No houses, battle cattle etc.
