This past weekend was the Texas Mile, a twice yearly speed fest where hundreds of modified cars descend on Beeville, Texas, to try and set records for the fastest standing mile. Looks like a perfectly good alternator right on top. That ought to be good for about 10 bucks.

At around 320-325ft/sec, I’d agree.

The Obama sticker on the hood of the car must have done what Obama anything does to everything—unbalanced it.

how about rolling over and over ... ?

A 'crash' would have created nuclear fusion.

One would think that forklift would be padded so as not to scratch the finish or mar the frame.

Obviously those cars are not meant to break apart at high speeds...especially like the open-wheel cars

Looks like the roll bar is still in decent shape

you leave the Toyotas out of it, they don’t run off unions and the 1/2 ton tundra I’ll put up against any other 1/2 ton.

It’s just a shame they don’t make a 1 ton diesel for the alberta oil patch.

This car looks exactly as it should after my sister was at the wheel :P

Well, the thumbs-up says he's still alive -- I guess. That's good.

I don't really care what the car looks like. I was more worried about the driver.
