I looked through a bunch of these People of WalMart pictures a while back. I noticed that many seemed to have been taken on Halloween... you could see Halloween goods on sale in several. That explained some, but not all, of the quirky outfits people had on.

Two of my nearby WalMarts are not too bad as they are located in the middle of fairly middle class cities. The one in the middle of a lower income/welfare city is a zoo.

One of our local Home Depots is like that. You'd swear you were in a third world country.

I am always amazed at the number of people (adults at that) I see at WalMart in pajamas and/or houseshoes.

Oh, they will just feed off each other.

One persons fat will be another’s nourishment.

“i gotta say, when the shtf, out of shape people are not going to stand much of a chance of surviving.”

They will survive longer than the people who are ‘in shape’. Throughout history when there is famine, etc, the fat people live longer because their bodies use the fat. Skinny people die off.

Even 10 extra pounds can well mean the difference between life and death. Fat is, after all, simply stored energy.

Maybe in the abstract, under strictly controlled conditions, but in the real world, the fat tend to die faster. They're less healthy, less able to stand the real rigors of starvation situation. Prisoners on the Bataan Death March and in the camps later noted that the big men died first, and it was the scrawny little guys who tended to do best.

Some years back I was a night stocker at an eastern Nevada Wal-Mart - mostly retirees and some farmers/ranchers, so I really never saw anything like these people.

I did see a lot of the younger generation with tattoos all over the place, “tramp stamps” and low-hung hip huggers.

One night a saw a very nicely dressed woman in my department and was tempted to tell her I appreciated seeing a woman dress like a lady and not like something out of a zoo. I chickened out though, as you never knew if one of ‘em would complain about “harassment”.

They can’t fight well. Won’t do well in riots or hiding, or running for cover. Huge targets. Not used to adrenaline and working their cardio system. And you will find dead fat people who have starved to death. Fat people still can only go 3 days without water, just like anyone else.

I feel like 'cracking' a joke, butt, dang do those people even own a mirror?

I know, they are really trampires and when they do look for their reflection they don't see anything.

Vera Gemini, wow, I just listened to that song about half an hour ago. One of my faves, I’m an old BOC guy from way back there. They are actually coming to Dallas County later this month and I’m trying to talk She Who Must Be Obeyed into buying tix.

I haven’t seen them boys in too long. Robert Earl Keen and Charlie Daniels Band are part of the same festival. I’ve seen Robert Keen a few times, but the CDB are on my bucket list, I’m there.

They used to be in my area at least once every summer but have since wandered off, touring points unknown.

I’m having withdrawal.
