Soldiers played host and served food at an area restaurant Thursday night for a good cause.
Heroes dressed in camouflage were at Arni's at Market Square mall in Lafayette serving food, meeting and seating customers.
It was all a part of the "Tip-a-Soldier" event where the Indiana Gold Star Mother's teamed up with Arni's for the second year in a row to collect donations to send World War Two veterans to their memorial in Washington D.C. for a day at no cost.
Last April, nearly 90 World War Two veterans were a part of Lafayette's first Honor Flight.
"It's all for a great cause. It's to raise money for Honor Flight. We take our World War Two veterans to Washington DC to see their memorial at no cost to them and we do all the fundraising to pay for our trip," Gold Star Mother, Dana Vann said.

God bless our troops.
