Videos showed Christopher Inserra, a New York police officer on disability for an arm injury, flailing both arms while performing with his heavy metal band, Cousin Sleaze, according to court documents. He was charged Tuesday with mail fraud.
NEW YORK — A New York police officer was charged Tuesday with mail fraud for allegedly claiming disability benefits for two years while at the same time performing and touring with his heavy metal band, Cousin Sleaze, according to court documents.
Christopher Inserra, an officer with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, was the lead singer with the Brooklyn band, whose "Sick Maniacs" album features such songs as "Infection" and "Walk of Shame," according to an affidavit filed in U.S. District Court in Brooklyn.
Inserra, 31, of Brooklyn was charged with mail fraud in connection with a scheme to defraud the American Family Life Assurance Co. of New York, known as AFLAC, out of $30,416 in disability payments.

When I was injured at work (shattered my ankle, blew out my knee and wrecked my shoulder) there were periods of time I felt Ok.
However, I always knew I was (or possibly being watched) being watched and observed, so I was careful.
Just because you were hurt, does not mean you are dead and can’t do anything.

I see one golfer regularly on my home course. I overheard him telling someone he is on permanent disability due to a deformed foot caused by polio. He plays 18 holes frequently and walks the course. I feel the system is too liberal in handing out benefits.

He is 'disabled', yet managed to go to the lumber store, design and build a huge crib that can hold his fat carcass.
His disability was challenged and he won the case, so he doesn't have to work and you have to pay. Great system, eh?
The name of the band is very appropriate.
