Cyprus has strict gun control. Private citizens are completely forbidden from owning handguns and rifles in any calber, even .22 rimfire. A gun license is required to buy ammunition, and ammunition sales are recorded.

If you can't own firearms, why do they need a gun license to buy ammo?
The article say some are allowed shotgun limited to 2 rounds.
Their gun laws are brutal.
How convenient for the overlords.
They’re allowed to have shotguns, but a double-barrel at best. No pump or semi-auto allowed.
Who wants to bet that government officials and “priviledged” individuals are exempt.
It’s a wonder someone doesn’t come along and take their money.
Now, this is Cyprus. A small population of largely domesticated Europeans.
Imagine this in Detroit or Chicago.
Means the same thing here, too.

And their Government just stole billion of dollars from them and there isn’t a damned thing they can do about it.
That’s why their Government won’t allow them guns.
The Cypriots will have to locate weapons and ammo in Lebanon or Turkey...if they have enough money stashed in the mattress. Then it will be time to hunt bankers and politicians. No bag limit.
More correctly the EU Cental Bank and the EU HQ in general stole the money by levying the conscription - robbed the bank accounts of people who could not mount an armed resistance or take revenge
Crazy Joe Biden thinks that's all you need to protect yourselves from home invaders. Only, not to shoot the invaders but to fire the two shots into the air on your balcony, if you have one, if not then into the ceiling I suppose, to scare the miscreants away. Sounds like SOUND advise. ;)
And Criminals can have guns!!! :-)
I thought it was one shot in the air and one shot through the door.

Yeah, yeah! I'll bet there are plenty of guns the government doesn't know about on that island. Cheap? No, probably not, but available? I'd be surprised if they weren't.
During the 1960’s riots between Greek & Turkish Cypriots, both sides were heavily armed with WWII small arms, shotguns, & pistols. Since the Republic of Cyprus minus the Turkish occupation zone is a clone of Greece (google `enosis’), their gun laws follow suit; but then take a gander at the island of Crete.
Cretans are armed to the teeth, have been since the Nazis invaded, are even more heavily armed following the fall of the Soviet Bloc, and the Athens government wisely chooses to leave well enough alone. A village wedding on Crete sounds like war breaking out.
It doesn’t matter ho much guns are restricted, when a war breaks out someone will supply the guns.
Sounds like Slo Joe advice. Especially when he clarified things by suggesting gals shoot through closed doors.
We need to get Cyprus into people’s minds here. The government just stole people’s life savings. How can that be a good argument for Democrats expanding government control of everything.
