Mississippi ping
Because those of that inclination just move to New Orleans or Atlanta.
And then the CNN 'reporter' went there ...
There goes the neighborhood.
I wonder how much of this article is a total fabrication.
Well, he names people. I know, it could still all be a fabrication.
The survey that asks about sexual identity only takes a sample. It’s not like they ask everybody there. They could have just not picked the address that a gay person lives in. They’ve only been asking the question since Jan 1. And March is just now completed. So it’s only been a handful of houses over a 2 month period.
Ridiculous to speculate this with that little data.
He found a bunch of Gays, all of whom said the were open, and treated OK; he found 4 gay couples, who weren’t hiding themselves.
He seemed dissappointed that these gay people took into account the religious opinions of their communities, and didn’t make a big deal of their personal desires.
He was even more upset it appeared with one gay who didn’t practice homosexual behavior because he was a christian who didn’t think that behavior was proper.
The one couple said they didn’t get that survey, and some others said they weren’t a couple when the Census took place.
One couple apparently said they were confused by the question.
A good article but it makes the same bad assumptions that some how this small town has something wrong with it because there are not over open homosexuals. It shows that mostly gays coexist just fine in a heterosexual dominated society. The one incident involving a the lesbian in an altercation with a jealous boyfriend could’ve just as easily happened with a man. Somewhere along the line gay activists will have to start taking some credit for making it more difficult for homosexuals to live quiet happy lives.
People tend to not care what you do sin or not if you aren’t trying to reimagine their world and redefine marriage. I went to school with several guys and girls who now live or have been involved with the gay lifestyle. The funny thing is no one really suspected any of them were gay. It just didn’t come up and that is the way it should be. The one guy I know personally because he had been interested in the woman who became my wife before he was molested by his uncle now lives as a homosexual. He joked that it was my wife rejecting him that made him gay though its pretty clear he knows what left him with his burden. We all have our issues but the point is that his orientation isn’t an issue because he doesn’t get in your face with it.
I don’t think many of the activists realize how their activities are ruining lives. They talk about so many homeless teens being gay but don’t mention the how gay men play a big role in the prostituting of young homeless men just as young homeless women are preyed upon. I’d further suggest that not all of those 40% start out homosexual in orientation but if the activists have their way it will be those facts that end up in the closet.
And, amazingly, the wiki page is already updated with the cnn information. I'm sure they asked everyone in the county (sarcasm). Since I'm related to a bunch of people there I'll have to ask. Given the demographics it's likely there ARE same sex couples living there but that they did NOT answer the question because they don't think it's anyone's da*&ed business.
You have to know the mindset there. Think 'Next of Kin'.
And yes, most 'flamboyant' people move to New Orleans, Natchez, or even Atlanta. There's literally nothing to do in Franklin county. I'm not sure there's even a Mickey D's in the whole county. Most of the county is a national forest. Closest walmarts are about 30m either direction. *Most* people leave if they can.
I would like to write all about some of the folks who worked for my daddy back in the 50s to his death in 1989. But I keep deleting what I write. Let’s just say that my daddy employed some homosexuals in his stores. I would never have known they were homosexuals if some one had not told me secretively. My daddy did not discuss his employees though he would talk about philandering doctors. lol
Um, I hate to be the first one to say this, but...
Aren’t people who define themselves primarily by their sexual habits kind of sad?
Maybe they are all hiding in the “Homochitto National Forest”?
Sounds like Arbutus Junction in Northern Wisconsin. The closest supermarket was in Iron Mountain Michigan (EST) and Wisconsin was CST. We'd go up to Iron Mountain about once a month for groceries (and colored Oleo) 'cuz it was a two hour drive, the best part was getting home an hour before you left.

Life expectancy for gays is much higher there.
that's nice writing. Like the image.
No where is free of having perverts.
I don’t want to read through that article again. “Poor me” screeds are annoying.
Did he mention whether or not the homosexuals he met in Franklin County are employed or whether or not they are on public assistance? I recall the guy who claimed he was in the closet was working. But what about the rest of them?
I know a lot of gay males who went to the same church as I did in college. They were in the closet in those days. Now they are in your face activists for their anal cause. It’s quite disgusting. They also have converted to more friendly denominations.
