What do you want America to look like in 30-50 years?
The Conservative Beacon ^ | Conservative Beacon

I have not posted here in a while, but I wanted to reach out to my fellow freepers for your views on a very important topic: the future of America.

We know our current situation and its continued decline should the course not be altered. I am interested in what America will look like in 30-50 years should we reverse our current course.

So I am curious as to what that America looks like to you. What is your dream, best case scenario 30-50 year vision of America, all facets-overall culture, education, media, government, etc?

If you hate older white Americans that much, then you have some serious issues, and they aren’t being pro-American, it is being anti-American.

Whine some more. It's not silly Russian/CCCP stuff. It's history, and how it works.

This brave new world isn't like your old one, and won't be. Ever.

Get used to it.

The world is moving faster than you can keep up in your easy chair, watching TV, and collecting your SS check.

I'm one of those jerks that doesn't own a TV, easy chair, or get entitlement checks from the goverment.

Talk about freedom, if someone is scaring you about entitlement.

How do you feel about freedom?

Yeah, I don’t have access to television either, and I don’t have a limited view of the world, and especially of voting in the United States and the demographics of it.

You don’t seem to understand it, or know it.

In what age group or racial group, are those future conservatives hiding in since only whites and old people vote conservative, and all the other age and racial groups are currently voting lefty?

And one last thing....

In the old Soviet Socialist Republic... God was verboten.

Now days, they pray in Red Square in public.

I prayed for that. I trusted God for that.

I'll bet He does as well for America.

You know... people make a difference without voting for party a or party b.

What happens when people don't play your voting game?

Are you drunk? What have I said about entitlements, my interest is in overall conservatism including entitlements and all areas, that is what I am trying to explain to you, conservatism dies when the old whites die.

In 20 and 30 years, entitlements will be worse, because the younger voters are dedicated liberals, the millions of immigrants that will come in during those years will be dedicated liberals.

Liberalism doesn’t disappear when the people who oppose it die, it gets worse.

Seriously, what do you think happened to California? What do you think the left hopes for Texas, for the older whites to live forever and to continue countering the votes of the young and immigrant?

You really think that Texas moves right when the old white Texans die?

You really need to quit making up things for people.

I have never belonged to a political party, and did not vote for Romney or Obama in 2012.

That doesn’t change the reality that voting is how laws change in America, and it does not change the facts of voting data and demographics.

I know I've produced 7 and coverted at least that number to be conservatives.

People that pray. People that love freedom and will die to defend it.

I buy practice ammo for the grand-kid's nanny.

There will be conservatives in Texas long after your negative attitude is gone.

Pray, why dontcha? It can't hurt.

And not real freedom or conservatism.

LOL, yeah voting, let the liberals do all that stuff, we don’t need no stinking voting.

Evidently we don’t need a political forum if we no longer participate in politics.

So, how do you feel about freedom if the majority doesn't have to vote on what you do?

I have to say I feel as you do. I'm in my late 50’s and the America I grew up in has vanished. I really don't want to be around in 25 or 30 years. Everyday more of the America I once knew and loved is disappearing and a little more of my heart breaks.

You sure are an optimist. I just don’t understand your basis for it.

Don't even try to compare this current crop of seniors with the Greatest Statist Generation!

The Statist Generation elected FDR
The current crop of seniors elected Ronald Reagan

The Statist Generation handed Eastern Europe to Moscow and lost China
The current crop of seniors won the Cold War

The Statist Generation gave us the New and Fair Deals
The current crop of seniors gave us Morning in America

As the older white Americans die off, then that will be the end of conservatism in America

I went to CPAC in 2008. The vast majority of the attendees were considerably younger than myself (I was born at a time when Sabres and MiGs were shooting at each other over Pyongyang), so there's hope.

“You sure are an optimist. I just don’t understand your basis for it.”

Some might call it Faith...James puts it in proper perspective...

“Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
(James 2:17-20 KJV)

Our Founding Fathers had faith, and by their works that faith bore the reality of a great nation. Their faith was made perfect by their good works. It is again time for that kind of faith, supported by works...that we might again become a great nation.

Our Founders were few, not in the majority. Today we find it similarly so, yet the faith of a few willing to support that faith by good works can resort in the Phoenix rising from the ashes.
