That same despicable crowd has also been infecting NASCAR, once a sport that reflected the values of the real America.

Agreed. Just as bad as Stevie Wonder being invited is that the fifth-columnist Sheryl Crowe will also be there. Ray Acuff would be appalled with what's happened to once was a genuinely American artform.

You got that right. I’m a big NASCAR fan. It really ticks me off that NASCAR actually ENCOURAGEs the commie libs to come in and wreck the sport. I used to buy a lot of country CDs. Now, the only CDs I buy are the old ones in the bargain bins and anything Toby Keith puts out. I know Toby says he’s a DemocRAT. He just doesn’t act like one.

I would not walk across the street to hear any on that list perform. It ain’t country and it ain’t music. Stream 92.1 FM (KNBT) New Braunfels, Texas if you want to hear the real deal.

I think Country music started its downward spiral into liberalism when Johnny Cash started to emphasize "social justice" in the 60s. There was still some good, politically-incorrect music being produced during that era, notably Guy Drake's classic, Welfare Cadillac. Be sure to read the first comment on that YouTube link about Johnny Cash and the leftist songs he performed at the White House.

Charlie is still alive and touring.

Myself, I wish that entertainers would leave politics out of it. I enjoy their music and had to put their politics aside.

Cross over music seems to be the current trend. I don’t mind that either. It can make some interesting combinations.

Another bunch of worthless celebrities panning for the cameras and spewing out a bunch of liberal celebrity crap!

Honestly who watches this crap? The Oscars, the Dove Awards, Tony Awards, etc., etc., I don't recall what the awards are, what they represent, who the celebrity idiots are chosen, and so on.

I have a hard enough time watching sports programs, with all the liberal garbage & political correctness thrown at us by the commentators, including 1 or 2 token whites. All the other commentators including the anchor chair are black.

I guess you are unaware that Stevie Wonder did a country song, i Ain't Gonna Stand For It, which almost made the top ten. Sounds more country than any song most of those other performers on your list.

I am not sure that he is a wacko liberal but (shivers), he attended the Inaugural. I attended Clinton’s second inaugural and still as conservative as can be. I was even part of the Second Presidential Inaugural of President Clinton......I was in the Joint Military Inaugural Committee and went to all the festivities....had I not, I would have been put up on charges of going AWOL. No thanks. I went to all the festivities required.

Glad to hear Charley is still with us. He should have been invited to appear at the awards show instead of Wonder, whose presence makes no sense except to draw a larger TV audience.
