People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has apologized to an Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race musher whose dog died at a checkpoint.
PETA last month accused Fairbanks musher Paige Drobny of leaving her dog unattended and said she should be criminally prosecuted.

Do members of PETA support Human Abortion? I wonder...???
Fact: PETA kills dogs and cats at their “no kill” shelters.
They certainly support en-masse euthanasia for their precious animals.
They chicken out of the abortion debate by saying they don’t have a position on it and are more focused on the alleged “suffering” of “non-human animals”.
Probably. I think I remember reading about PETA putting down animals. So, it sounds like they are anti-baby and anti-puppy.
I want to know how the race officials allowed a dog to get smothered by a snowstorm.
Yeah - I saw the video over a year ago of a no kill shelter - where the bodies of dogs were dumped in the trash...pretty disturbing...
Someone should inform PETA that they are not our Masters yet, only Government can prosicute criminal charges.
You can complain to the Ober-masters, and the DA can decide if the State wants to prosicute a criminal case, but PETA does not have the right to prosicute criminaly.
Sue a civil suit perhaps. Good luck with that without a finding in a criminal court to back it.
They are against ownership of animals, they show up at dog shows and have let animals of of their crates, some resulting in loss and/or death of the animal. Of course, they also go about “freeing” animals when possible. Like the mink farm in, IIRC, central WI. Of course, the mink didn’t know how to fend for themselves, so those that weren’t hit on the highway suffered a cruel death of starvation. They have stated that milking cows is cruel.
They are a weird bunch, and have a name that is deceptive. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. The lynchpin is what their ethics dictate. They are not PHTA, people for the humane treatment of animals.
