People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is actively shopping for a drone that would "stalk hunters," the organization said Monday.

The group says it will "soon have some impressive new weapons at its disposal to combat those who gun down deer and doves" and that it is "shopping for one or more drone aircraft with which to monitor those who are out in the woods with death on their minds."
The group says it will not weaponize the drones, but will use them to film potentially illegal hunting activity and turn it over to law enforcement.

Is there a bag limit?
Other articles on this indicate the drones they contemplate buying offer from 5 to 20 minutes depending on the camera resolution and weight....
I dunno....if I were a PETA puke, I’d be concerned about being only 5 minutes away from a hunter with a gun....
Just think! They are introducing a whole new shooting sport. Imagine the special loads to be developed, Goose guns may make a comeback. There’s going to be fun had by all participants.
I wonder how many hunters were in Air Defense Artillery during their Army days? LOL!!!
Leave it to the radical Left to be the very first to seriously suggest the misapplication of a new technology.
Fun! A new style of trap shooting.
I predict a new shooting competition called sporting drones.
I fly a multi rotor copter as a hobby, technology allows even hobbyists to fly them “FPV”, first person view, from goggles or a video screen. Seems possible, but 20 minutes flight time is a real stretch. Also if taken down, another possibility is a fairly intense fire from the lithium polymer batteries widely used these days.
5 to 20 minutes is not much flight time. Given a search grid, flying time reserve for launch/recovery, average airspeed, that doesn’t translate into very much distance. Doesn’t put you too far away from armed people you’re going to be getting angry at you. Now, if they are law abiding hunters, no worries - except why are you harassing them? If they aren’t law abiding hunters, are these the kind of people you want to be getting on the wrong side of, out in the wilderness, far away from witnesses, law enforcement, and oh, surrounded by predators that would probably happily dispose of any evidence (ie. you)... ??? This does not sound like a real smart play by PETA, but then, it is PETA so what do you expect?
Heh, heh, heh! That’s about $1800 flying right there, ouch!
Sounds like they would be stalking would-be hunters. Wouldn’t you think the drones’ noise would scare away the aminals?
so apparently stalking is no longer a crime?
I’ll mount my first Peta-drone on the wall between the Spotted Owl & the baby Polar Bear, just above the Bald Eagle.
sounds like we like we have a good salesman working on a way to waste PETAs money?
Not quite sure just how legal this is, if at all. I’m sure PETA will try it, keep at it and scream like children when they lose one.
the problem is they will charge the hunter with soem asinien charge and mostl ikely win-
When will Drone hunting season be??
Hope they are wearing the appropriate gear since there are so many tragic hunting accidents.
Pray for America to wake up
Gonna have to calculate a whole new batch of leads.....
You can practice on these...
I am really getting excited about this, when does it start?
I suggest they test them out in Louisiana. Will they taste like gator?
