Obama's Fiscal Year 2014 budget includes $30 million in new funding to "track gun violence" and to research strategies that might prevent it.

Geez, couldn't they find something more useful to spend $30 mil on? You know, like more green jobs or something? Or maybe extending the 99 weeks to 100 weeks. Maybe give it to the u.n. so they can do more of the wonderful things that they do. Maybe fund some more epa earth protector cops.

Don’t laugh! The 1968 Gun Control Act and Clinton’s AW ban were passed because they were loaded with PORK to the states for “crime control”.

Even John Dingell resigned from the NRA Board of Directors to vote for Clinton’s AW ban.

Trust me I remember them both very well. We had just returned to home port of Newport RI from a Med/North Atlantic tour in July ‘68. We had purchased some Berreta’s while in Naples. When we got home we were NOT allowed to take them off the ship until all the crap instituted by GCA ‘68 was ironed out. We eventually got to remove them from the ship’s armory. Then I remember watching the ‘94 debacle and the absolute feeling that I was gonna puke when it passed. We are truly living in bizzaro world. Kinda makes you feel that your time serving was for naught. We had to keep the oath but apparently the asshats in the legislature don’t have to keep theirs.
