PHILADELPHIA, April 12, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) The gruesome report of the house of horrors abortion clinic run by Kermit Gosnell makes a profound statement about abortion that it should be legal, according to a number of left-wing media outlets.
Media Matters crafted a preemptive response to the Gosnell tweetfest today that generated more than 166,800 tweets in 12 hours.
The liberal organization wrote that Gosnell's Women's Medical Society stands as "an indictment of the outcome if the anti-choice movement achieves its goals.
Far from the practices of well-established medical facilities, the Womens Medical Society was the modern-day back alley, like those in the pre-Roe era where desperate women were butchered," wrote the group, which is a recipient of George Soros' funding.
Soon the retort pervaded the left side of the internet.
Simon Van Zuylen-Wood forecast on Philadelphia Magazine's blog, "as individual states increasingly restrict abortion rights, more and more illegal clinics, like Gosnells may crop up."
Slate author Amanda Marcotte also picked up the meme. After being tweeted for her opinion she wrote, Pro-choicers support quality women's health care, and are the enemies of those who force women into underground clinics like Gosnell's.
Marcotte covered the Gosnell story more than two years ago in an article that blamed abortion opponents for the acts of abortionists.
When vacuums are created, we shouldnt be surprised when they suck in a bunch of junk, it concluded.
But pro-life activists easily parried their attempts at philosophical judo.
There was nothing 'underground' about #Gosnell clinic, wrote a California-based writer who goes by the handle Joe the Patriotic.
National Abortion Federation, Board of Medicine looked the other way, he noted.
Pro-abortion activists long argued that legalizing abortion-on-demand was necessary to prevent the kinds of abuse and malpractice Gosnell stands accused of performing.
Nuh-uh, oh no you don’t!
Legalizing abortions meant NO WOMAN WOULD EVER HAVE TO BE BUTCHERED. It’s legal. Et puis, voila.
Surprised they covered the story at all, it’s been a media blackout so far.
Under that logic we should legalize all murder since getting shot in an alley is just too gruesome.
These people are outta their F***ing minds.
We have birth control. There should be no abortion.
Sick, just sick.
Ah oh, that makes perfect sense in this country of raving lunatics.
The ugly truth is, all abortion facilities are back alley butcher shops. The routine slaughter of babies is manifest horror.
A routine investigation of so called abortion clinics anywhere and everywhere will reveal the identical conditions found in Gosnell’s clinic. By their very nature they are killing houses staffed by hardened murderers.
And WHO owns the Abortion Clinics ?
When following the Tv and Internet news on this atrocity I keep hearing that Abortion Clinics that will/do not perform late term abortions are referring the women to this MURDERER!
Why isn’t it, and why shouldn’t that be considered a crime of be complicit in the crime of murder? Conspiracy in a murder?
If I were to tell a neighbor where to locate a “Hit Man” and the cops could prove that, I would be as guilty as the killer.
What logic allowed them to reach this conclusion? Abortion IS legal. He committed his mass murder in an environment where abortion is legal and politically championed.
Perhaps what they meant was “Infanticide should be legal.”
16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Should Murder be LEGALIZED? Abortion is the MURDER of babies.
What next do you want LEGALIZED? Pedophilia??
Wow. The mental illness that is leftism runs amok
Yes, that is probably next
