Mr. President,
I am posting this here because I have nowhere else to go. I'm no journalist. I'm no blogger. I'm just a voter and I'm so done. I can't talk about this at work because I have to carry your water and keep silent and pretend I support your failed policies. The media has been so successful in making the world believe in the uneducated caricature of your critics.
For the first time in my life, you and your office are completely irrelevant to me. Wow, I never thought I would say that, but yesterdays events in Boston finally woke me up. What happened, you ask? Well, it was no single event. It was time plus you.
In 2007, I think it was, you made a vigorous campaign move ..in Germany. A foreign country. Are you kidding me? Never have I been so insulted as a potential voter. Why were you not here in THIS country, trying to win MY vote? Why were you not telling me what you would do for me, my children, and my fellow citizens? I knew for the first time, and saw with my own eyes, what a self-loving attention whore you really are.
Then I learned about where you worship and proceeded to do my homework. Dont take it personal. I do this for all of my candidates if they are so transparent as to reveal the church to which they are members. Sir, I was appalled. You willingly admit membership to a church that claims one of its cornerstones is an undying nonnegotiable loyalty to another country. This is a not a mere vision statement of the company where you work. This is your alignment to a church that has made a vow to God. I dont take that lightly, as I belief nothing defines a man more than how he works his personal relationship with his higher power. So, you are either a hypocrite who has joined a church despite its beliefs, or you really do love Africa more than the country you want to lead. Either way, you lose.
On 9/11, our country fell under attack by those who hate us. Non-Americans, the people you aspire to love you. I turned to my leaders to assure me that we would be safe and that nothing was more important to them than the USA. I was not disappointed. I felt like my president would go down fighting for my country, and inspire me and others to do the same.
Time plus you. Those days are gone. When disdain or violence is directed at my country or my fellow citizens, I tune in to the media to hear or read what bonehead, lily-livered, bleeding heart, love-me comments you will go on record as pontificating. I knew you cared nothing about me or anyone here. I just wanted to fuel my own hatred of you. It seemed to make me feel better about having to tolerate you as President.
But today, I could not care less what the White House thinks about terrorism. I know you will never protect us. You will ask us to not jump to conclusions, try to understand our enemies, make empty promises, and swear that crimes will be investigated. You will do nothing. I no longer care nor believe. You are an empty suit of a man with no convictions or spine or loyalty to this nation or its constitution.
At least, when I hated you, I still had hope, because hate is not the opposite of like. Its just another side of the same coin. Now, I just dont care. I have thrown the coin away. My leaders are the brave men and women who worked in the streets comforting people. They set their personal issues aside to pay homage to a passed foreign leader because greatness never lacks respect for another individuals bravery. They lead by example, making personal sacrifices because those they aspire to lead are also going without. They take seriously the trust with which the electorate placed in them. They have self-awareness and self-respect, and they inspire me with hope that can result in change. You have none of that.
Note, I never call you a leader only a president. A leader is someone we follow when we dont have to. The title of leader is earned. You are neither. You just got more prom king votes than your opponent.
So its tee time for you. Have fun. We can do without you.
agree and so definitely understand your frustration...
Am wearing out my knees praying as my mother and grandmothers before her have done...God is definitely here/everywhere and I am trying to seek Him more diligently. This world is definitely fallen/broken...
Did you vote for him?
Obviously.
Your writing is succinct and pointed. Quite good in fact.
Definitely not a blogger.
You done good, he is an empty suit with feet of clay, he make Jimmy Carter look good...
LOL...I should cut off my right arm before I vote for that shadow.
BTW I wasn’t trying to be confrontational - I just notice you had said you “carried his water” for him so I was just curious...
I’m a fed.
Africa...ain’t a country.
Ah. Understood.
Good writing BTW.
Me too, surrounded at work by simpering Obama groupies who do nothing but whine about how persecuted they are. Yech.
Thank you. I guess Passion is our best inspiration.
In jerry’s church the preach BLT and that ain’t for bacon, lettuce and tomatoe. Black Liberation Theology. Do a little diggin’ and you’ll see just exactly what the un-rev wright was peddling to the obies and the rest of the congregation. And WE’RE racist? Not by a long shot compared to these hateful asshats.
*eye roll*
Outstanding line-—
“It was no single event. It was time plus you.”
Yes, yes, yes.
Just like Obamacare, the Dems are prepping us to be
ground down over time by their legislation and their
mindset, which has been so slowly but consistently implanted
in the public discourse, that they envision us waking up soon
and discovering we’ve been remade in the image o$ their “New Man”.
I’m receiving you 5x9 and agree with you. There are times I have to rant and get it off my chest too.
She didn’t say it was a country.
She implied generally has more simpatico with
that continent than with the USA. And she’s right.
As a “citizen o$ the world” , he demonstrated $rom the get-go
as he dropped by brie$ly to deliver his speeches to the American cameras, that his heart and mind were elsewhere, and he sought out, and mostly got approval $rom just about everywhere. That was the design-—to convince Americans we don’t dare go against “world-wide approval”.
