OK so a lot of Freepers are down on BOR... and I used to loathe BOR circa 2001... his talking points was particularly annoying to me. At some point, I began to Enjoy the show, particularly the mix of guests.
i remember him ranting that obama absolutely would move to the center otherwise he would absolutely positively lose the election.
I guess you don’t visit much.
And you agree with him on what?
I can’t stomach anyone of Fox anymore. Especially Megan “I love my nana” Kelly.
Back in the day, I used to describe my opinion of BOR as “Even the 85% of the time I agree with the man, I can’t stand him.”
My rate of agreement with his views has dropped to something like 60% (through BOR changing, rather than any shift in my own views), I still can’t stand the man — self-promoting, self-possessed bore, even when one agrees with his point — and now find when I don’t agree with him, he comes across as not just wrong, but a complete fool.
Still, he’s to the right of most of what’s on television by way of commentary, so there’s a little to be said in his favor.
Bill is a Blowhard.
I gave up on Bill more than a decade ago. You first instincts were correct. Bill is all about Bill.
My belief is that he is all about himself and spouts conservative ideas in order to generate income for himself.
He is a lazy thinker at best. His interviews are basically one-sided attempts at one-upmanship.
If you happened to agree with him on an issue or two it's only because he's putting on a good act.

BOR makes PT Barnum look like an amateur.
No, I visit here every day... I just generally skip the commentary on O’Reilly... much like right now I skip every horror piece about Dr. Mengele in Philly... it just doesn’t appeal to me.
I was just writing in a FRemail that I think something is really going on and Bill needs a hug... I mean he BLEW UP at Alan Combs a while back really bad... then there was some dumb bible thumping issue that he was going off about and that poor chick that sits in the leg chair on The Five took the brunt of his rage issues... I mean he was just plain rude to her.
Now there is this thing where he is promoting background checks?
It’s a slow process... but I guess I take him with a grain of salt... I hope others do too.

1. Pro gun control (now we know he is for universal background checks and total firearm registration)
2. pro civil unions for homosexuals
3. pro homosexual adoption, as a last resort
4. anti-death penalty
5. federal government must be pro-active on global warming
6. Thinks John Kerry (then U.S. Senator, D-MA, now SoS)is a patriot.
He has enough vanity.
