They keep pushing that this is a criminal matter and not an act of war because it doesn't involve a foreign countries support.
I would argue that these guys are members of an international group that are attempting to create a world Islamic government. A government in waiting.
The point of declaring them an enemy combatant is for intel, not prosecution.
Coverage makes ratings. A military trial doesn’t allow the media circus.
Probably so they can report on it. Civilian trials would be more open.
After you lock down a few million local residents where do go to find a jury?
“because it doesn’t involve a foreign countries support.”
Fox is something like 9/10% Saudi owned now.
If TV could get away with it they’d make all real trials literally gameshows.
Hey, Disney has their own town, they could do it.
Murdoch’s a branch office of international banksterism, for whom the Saudis were installed as the local vassals of their sand heap.
Just a little while ago, Fox News had King on and he presented strong arguments why the bomber should be considered an enemy combatant.
Do you really want to be stripped of your citizenship (and constitutional protections) by just the stroke of POTUS Pen?
Fox has presented both sides.
who owns at least 1/3 of fnn...
Get congress to declare war on Islam, and then I’ll agree with you.
Keep in mind that the Left thinks every conservative is a terrorist.
Al-Waleed still owns ___% of News Corp (FOX parent company).
This entire debate is about to dramatically change tomorrow (Monday) when revelations occur about the Boston Marathon bombing.
I don’t think it will be helpful to 0bama.
Because they are absolute IDIOTS, that’s “because”.
He is a citizen. made a citizen on 9-11-12. Jim brought up a good point that he should be charged with treason. Might help send a signal to the rest of the traitors that think citizenship is the ticket to get away with treason. The AQ training manual instructs them to use our laws against us should they be caught. They know our courts are hopelessly liberal and that they stand a good chance of getting off and/or at the very least, making a big show trial to spout their nonsense.
We are bound for disaster, perhaps the most gut-wrenching the world has ever seen.
Believe me I have no love for the coward but I’m not sure I want the government declaring US citizens on American soil “enemy combatants” so the civil due process is gone. If they make that call—whose next? Tea partiers?
I agree with you. But, he needs to be charged with high treason by the feds as well as all the charges that Mass can hang on him.
No, but the moment he signed on with the Islamic enemy to plant terrorist bombs on US soil, he forfeited his citizenship and his rights. He’s now a traitor per the US Constitution.
I heard today that FOX is 14% owned by Saudi .. so just like the faggots .. a small percentage swings big sticks.
He’s an enemy combatant captured on the battlefield (a battlefield of his own creation). He’s a traitor per the U.S. Constitution. Turn him over to the military so they can waterboard him, try him and hang him.
Hmmm... how about a reality show for terrorists?
the guy isn’t a naturally born citizen, he is conspiring with foreign actors.
I don’t buy this argument. I don’t care if this guy ever goes to trial, they need to root this out.
I sat there through two shows, I didn’t see both sides.
They had one of the people against declaring him an enemy combatant deliver the other sides argument.
Go that route and you will have the ACLU and all manner of bleeding hearts tying up prosecution for years.
This is one case where I would like an open civil trial. There is too much being hidden by this clown Administration, plus he was apprehended on US soil and like it or not, he doesn’t he have US citizenship?
I want to know the Saudi connection. I want to know where Obama’s policies bungled this whole situation.
Bring on the trial.
The ACLU may have sway over civilian courts, but they have absolutely no power over the military.
The two jackasses and their bombs are a 24/7 commercial to grow government, surrender your freedoms, and tax you till your broke to keep you safe.
Our laws are only as good as those charged with upholding them. Three words:
There are far more, but you get my drift.
fox is partly owned by Islamics (Saudi Arabs).
a civilian trial is almost a guarantee of acquittal (especially since they apparently didn’t give him his Miranda rights before questioning him) and because of all the procedures involved)
Fox’s owners want their pals let off, or give the lightest possible sentence, also a civilian trial will enable them to put out tons of enemy propaganda ... all about the sympathetic defendant and “why” he supposedly is the way he is (anything but Islam being the reason)
and AlGore’s new AlJezzera TV in USA will have a field day spreading the lies 24/7. Thanks ever so much, Al!
I do believe I am beginning to see things your way on this.
No dobut the guy need to be convicted and executed (when found guilty), but I am more afraid of the government abusing its powers through both incompetence and maliciousness.
After all, if the Feds were doing their jobs, that idiot and his brother would have been sent packing when they got a warning from the Russians, much less granting the younger brother citizenship.
On the other hand, the DHS has openly considered native-born patriots like your self and me, to be extremists by virtue of revering the Constitution and being Christians.
Supporting our natural Second-Amendment rights is just icing on the cake, you know the ruling class in D.C. is just itching to contrive some legal apparatus to outlaw conservatism, and I am personally afraid that giving the bomber enemy combatant status, would set the precedent to do just that.
And lastly, I believe the term "combatant" applies only to the laws of war, specifically meaning an individual who attacks members of the military on a battlefield, not civilians.
Blurring the distinction between the two could give President Big Ears a legal reason to justify using drones against U.S. citizens on U.S. soil, I believe there are just too many risks to individual liberty with this line of prosecution, and why I think it would be more appropriate to try him through civilian channels.
Eff Napolitano and HER war on law abiding American citizens!!
There is no blurring here. The cowardly bastard is an enemy combatant. Duh, he and his brother joined a foreign Islamic terrorist organization and planted Islamic bombs on our soil and blew up innocent civilians!!
By the way, the US Constitution defines that as treason!! We are currently at war with the Islamic terrorist nations and all that harbor or provide aid and comfort. Look it up.
I’ll ask again, if Giuseppe Zangara was executed within 35 days of his murdering an American, why should it take years and years to execute Muslim killers?
Notice I did not say “alledged killers”!
Fox News is just another controlled tool.
Cease fire, I'm on (your) our side !
I am still quite confused and angry about how we can let any Chechnyan's immigrate here at all, especially after they blew up that school killing over 200 kids, much less not deporting them after getting warnings about the brother.
And I am currently furious about the ongoing attempt by Congress to further flood our country with individuals who have no regard for our culture, language, or way of life, especially in the aftermath of the bombing.
All I am saying is I don't want to give POTUS and Congress any more power than they already have (I don't trust them at all), and I believe handing the bomber over to a military tribunal instead of to a jury would do just that.
My only concern is what is best for our Country and upholding the Constitution, and taking any action that has the potential to give the Federal government more power that it already has makes me extremely uncomfortable.
POTUS should not have any say in the matter. Nor should his jackbooted fascist state police Lt. Napolitano. Turn him over to the military and get it out of corrupt POLITICAL hands.
While I might question why we ever granted citizenship to Muslims immigrating violent Islamic radical hotbeds like Chechnya in the first place, the fact is that Tsarnaev is a citizen of the United States of America. He is charged with committing a heinous crime on American soil; however, until he is tried and convicted in a court of law, Tsarnaev is entitled to every right of an American citizen. No American has the authority to strip another of his citizenship on the basis of an accusation, however serious. If we who love the Constitution would deny any American citizen his rights prior to trial, then we no longer have any assurance of our own rights. If a trial verdict is not necessary to deny Tsarnaev his rights, then no trial will be necessary to deny us our own.
We have nothing to fear from recognizing Tsarnaev's rights as an American citizen. We have much to fear from denying those rights without due process.
"I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same... So help me God."
So help me God.
“but Im not sure I want the government declaring US citizens on American soil enemy combatants so the civil due process is gone. If they make that callwhose next? Tea partiers?”
We all know it’s just a matter of time that they are going there (or want to); not sure if sooner is better than later, but unless “they” all die of avian flu or we take both Houses and the WH with a very Conservative majority, eventually we will have to confront the coming tyranny.
It also appears to me that the current state of Federal domestic intel is a lot weaker than we have been led to believe. If they interviewed this moron 2 years ago at Russia’s request, Russia must have had something on him and his friends, yet the Feds were too stupid to see it / continue to follow-up/even have him on a list to check AFTER the bombings?
If we have to do battle, I’d rather go against someone weaker now rather than stronger later.
/my two cents...armchair, etc...

Unless he LIED when took his oath of citizenship.
“I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the armed forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.”
If they are American citizens they have to have due process and have to have a jury trial. Especially if they are apprehended in the United States.
