Monday was the 43rd celebration of Earth Day, an event hailed as an effort to promote responsible stewardship of the environment. Fittingly, it is also the birthdate of Communist Party creator Vladimir Lenin, a reality that the radical environmentalists responsible for the creation of Earth Day dismiss as a mere coincidence. Yet there is little question that under the guise of saving the planet, the earth-firster crowd would be more than willing to impose the same kind of totalitarian control over the masses envisioned by Lenin.

Dirt Worshipers are at war with mankind.
Pray for America to Wake Up
The feral government cancer has metastasized.
They let a few million brown African humans die of malaria, because they believed that the possibility that their deaths would lead to thicker bird egg shells was more important.
They honestly believe that carbon dioxide from human sources has some magically evil properties that makes it more dangerously supercharged than ordinary carbon dioxide belched out by baby seals, humpback whales or volcanoes.
They'll spike a tree to kill a lumberjack and save the plant.
They are twisted sociopaths.
And it gets bought into more and more each day with the indoctrination of the youts in the govt education/indoc centers. Obviously we should take care of things and be aware of what we do but making the the primary subject is just crazy. The CFO had me go in to a Whole Food store and as we walked the aisles we passed by the cereals available and there proudly displayed was some yummy enviro-kids coco puffs the yuppies could buy for their offspring. I told her (the CFO) thanks but no thanks and I would NEVER step foot in the store again. She concurred and away we went empty handed. Not even a recycled tote with us.
Atheism has gone from “Man is the measure of all things!” to “the human race is a cancer.” Great job, guys. [/sarcasm]
A lot of people not in with the green tech thing have to pretend they are if they want to keep their job at GM. You can’t even hint at the idea that going green at GM is not necessarily going in the right direction. If you do, prepare to be dealt with, especially if you’re a design and engineering contract employee.
If you’ve been there working for GM directly for 20 or more years they probably don’t care what you think one way or the other. You can’t have it show up on LinkedIn or Facebook...You don’t want to have the HR community alerted to the fact that you don’t agree with ending fossil fuels for automotive internal combustion engines. And if that’s you, you know the same is true of working at Tier 1 and 2 automotive suppliers.
You MUST acknowledge the need to save the planet or you risk being branded as a “heretic”.
Sorry dang state of affairs ain’t it. Before I retired/got laid off 2 years ago the company I worked for for 36+ yrs was constantly trying to implement a “paperless” system and continually failed to get it up and running. Some areas you could do it. Other areas it was nearly impossible. Don’t know if they are still trying or not. So, what’s worse? Paper copies or buying vast quantities of electronics and the energy required to run them all? Dang, now where is that forest? Too many trees in the way to see it I guess. Kind of like the eco-wack-a-doodles wearing the latest in patagonia synthetics to their next protest.
Yeah, the love affair between business administrators, paperless offices, paperless management, paperless engineering, paperless manufacturing, etc. seems to never have gone beyond the love affair stage.
Earth Day is a farce and your company is foolish to recognize it for anything other than just that. From now on keep your corporate stupidity to yourself and don't send me any more of your idiotic "Green" suggestions.
That sounds like a good tact to use with some of these idiots but they’ll never admit it because..........well that’s probably racist too now. “What are you? Anti-green?”
