The LORD let the Israelis prosper and take over. They soon lost their identity as Israelites, but God knows who the descendants of Abraham are. He is keeping all of His promises to Abraham. He would be the father of many nations. The Israelite genes are mingled in all over the world, but in particular in Europe.
When Jesus comes back he will gather the members of the tribes of Israel who are left on earth after the great tribulation, and bring them back to Zion with rejoicing. The Jews already there will be shocked to find out that many of the people of the world who they considered gentiles are actually Israelites. The most surprised will be the Israelites themselves, who find out that they are actually Abraham's descendants.
Much of the Bible is around two subjects which, number one is the story of Christ, and number two the story of God keeping His promise to Abraham and causing his descendants to prosper and be ultimately blessed, and inherit the land of Israel.
Many “gentiles” are of the tribes because God has kept them, unbeknownst to themselves. Their fathers are a long line that trace all the way back to their tribal identity. Others are children of Abraham because somewhere back in their line their father/s or mother/s were Israelites, but though they are children of Abraham, they are not officially Israelites because Israeli identity is usually past through the father. God knows all, and knows the genetic pedigree of every person on earth and has also preserved His chosen Israeli line.
If many of the people who hate the Jews knew that they also have an Israeli genetic background, they might change their minds a bit.

Well, either some scientists’ current theories are infallible, or the Bible is infallible. Take your pick. I go with God’s word.

I think it's the system of generation names that enable the Chinese to maintain links with their tribal and clan past ~ BTW, some cable systems carry a set of international channels that features shows originating in Big China. Most of them are about archaeological discoveries in recent years. Some fascinating stuff there. But FUR SHUR the Chicoms even buy into the Eastward Ho thesis now. Their oldest stuff is in higher elevations, further West and further North ~ where you could graze animals and control the tigers. They gradually move East and South as the Temperate zone develops and destroys old forests and the game the cats relied on.
A thousand years from now the inhabitants of Europostan aren’t going to be wondering why it happened in this era.

Hypotheses which pass many significant tests are considered "theories".
No "theory" is considered "infallible", but has been accepted until the time when some confirmed test falsifies its predictions.
By sharp contrast, the Bible makes no falsifiable scientific predictions.

You may know, that science has used “confirmed” data (aka “facts”) to help form testable hypotheses, which have been presented as facts, which have been found later to be false.
Even today we could cite several such ludicrous theories, (aka “facts”. Global warming is a good one.
God’s word is true, and His history of the world, along with everything else He says, is accurate.

I’d rather not outline it in too much detail. But I will tell you it was a scene from “True Romance”...where he was telling the Eye-talian mob guys about historical genealogy for Sicilians. Not exactly 4,000 yrs ago, but a while back, still.
One of the memorable scenes of that movie. Just previous to Hopper going into discussing Sicilian heritage issues, when he asks “can I have that cigarette now” is perfect. Hopper was great in that one.
