Janitors and maintenance men are the best people to arm in a school. They aren’t tied to a classroom, know their way around better than anyone, and have access to all areas of a school.

Plus, they tend to live in the real world.

The most effective means of defending a school are armed guards whose sole task is to patrol & protect the school.

Armed staff is fine, but they have other things to do besides patrol. As a second line of defense, they can serve that purpose well, but dedicated guards need to be the first line of defense.

And inconspicuous as well since they could end up being the first target a perp might take out in such a situation.

Place a sign outside the school;

“Half our staff is carrying concealed firearms.

Want to guess which ones ?”
