Today, Live Action is launching a new investigative video series on late-term abortions in America: “Inhuman: Undercover in America’s Late-Term Abortion Industry.”
Was Kermit Gosnell an anomaly? Not if the findings in Live Action’s first released video are any indication.
Dr. Emily’s Women’s Health Center is a late-term abortion clinic located in the Bronx section of New York City, where a wincing 41% of pregnancies end in abortion. A Live Action investigator who was 23 weeks pregnant – with a potentially viable baby – visited this mill for shocking results.
2013-04-28_0414The abortion counselor is caught on tape describing in gruesome detail how the baby is removed and instructs the investigator to “flush” the baby down the toilet if he or she is accidentally delivered at home before the final stage of the two-day abortion procedure.
“If it comes out, then it comes out. Flush it. … If anything, you know, put it in a bag or something or somewhere and bring it to us.”
When Live Action’s undercover investigator asks what happens if the baby is born alive, “twitching, or something like that,” at the clinic, the counselor says the baby will be put in a solution, which “will make it stop.”
“The solution will make it stop. It’s not going to be moving around in the jar … that’s the whole purpose of the solution…. It’ll automatically stop. It won’t be able to [breathe]…not with the solution.”
The “solution,” as described by the counselor, who agrees it is a “toxic” substance, is likely formalin, a tissue preservative made of formaldehyde, a poison.
“We have that to keep it clean, and, you know, ’cause by the time it gets to the lab, it sill needs to be freshly, you know….”
The counselor also falsely claims that laminaria – seaweed sticks that are inserted into the cervix to dilate it – will kill the baby.
The seaweed is where the heartbeat – that’s what kills the heartbeat as well…. they’re toxic.
The counselor warns the investigator not to call the hospital if her baby is delivered at home, falsely claiming the hospital wouldn’t accept her anyway.
‘Cause we started it first, the hospital won’t take you. They won’t touch you, either, because we started it. So whoever starts it has to finish it.
A second counselor gives contradictory information, telling the investigator it’s all a matter of location, that the baby must be killed “inside the body,” because were that same baby “outside the body… he has to resuscitate it; he has to send it to the hospital. That’s the law.”

Where, oh where, is the outrage? We are a quickly dying civilization.

Outrage? where was the outrage from conservatives that the GOP candidate for president was fully on board with Planned Parenthood and abortion?
Instead we were told that ‘purists’ were killing the party and that we had to moderate.
The Freepers who did just that know who they are. Where was the outrage against our own hopping fully on board with such a candidate and campaigning for him?

Well what ever the word “used” to be our black president calls this avoiding “punishment by a ba-by”
Republicans will continue to nominate and support crappy candidates who will not speak out against this abomination. We will all be told to shut up and get in line and that we need to compromise our principles so we can appeal to those who will never be conservative. It’s all about getting along.
I wonder what historians will say about our society five hundred years from now. Will they say ‘how could these people do this’ or will they say how ignorant we were that we cared about human life?

What do I do?
I engage “pro choice” friends lovingly and get them to agree to watch an abortion with me - ‘so we know what we’re talking about.’ (Youtube, etc.)
I have very few acquaintances now who would call themselves ‘pro choice.’
I wish we ALL did this. It works.

Instinctively, I'm inclined to agree with you, but I'm also reminded of a passage from CS Lewis's Screwtape Letters. At one point, Wormwood is, 'delirious wth joy,' because war has broken out on earth. Screwtape replies to Wormwood, '...I must warn you not to hope for too much from a war,' suggesting that the direst of times can turn people to God, and the starkest horrors can evoke tremendous acts of valor, compassion and self-sacrifice.
So yes, while this story speaks of great horrors, it also tells the story of the Live Action investigator, "who was 23 weeks pregnant – with a potentially viable baby," who marched right into this slaughterhouse in order to expose it. That is the kind of courage that saves nations and civilizations, so while we may be despondent about what she exposed, we should nevertheless take heart that she dared to expose it. Her contribution may be small in the big picture, but it may also be the first step in a journey of 1,000 miles.
Moreover, a woman with this kind of courage and conviction will be the mother of a lion.
Romney was against abortion (I mean “choice”) before he was for it...then he was against it again.
I am coming to hate the Republican Party. They are a big part of the problem.

The GOP is not different from the dems. Same positions, just the level of them. They exist to ‘ease us in’ to the Dem way.

As heart-wrenching as this is, I’m glad to see its being tackled. We (pro-lifers) all know that Gosnell was not an anomaly, We now need the documentation to prove it to rest of society. God bless the Live Action folks.
