The slaver should be on Syria's mouth, but it seems it's on Obama's instead.

Sunny and warm in the formerly frozen tundra. Homework on my desk, right next to the apple I am slavering over.

Slaver

I know a fellow we called Slobbering John for his drooling like a nervous Great Dane dog but as for being a slaver I kind of think of him a slave rather than a slaver since his pittance of a paycheck had to be sent to his momma for safe keeping. John was only thirty at the time.

Slaver = drooling. At first I thought this was slaver as in the Saudi couple arrested in VA yesterday for human trafficking.

Or simply a slave enthusiast. Maybe buys all the magazines, but doesn't have a slave of his own yet. ;-)

So I took Tobbee to breakfast this morning...pancakes. His favorite. Still on the plate when we left. He gobbled up his eggs, then chugged his chocolate milk and stared at his pancakes. He has been begging to go there for pancakes. I made him wait, because he had been rude about asking. Finally, the day comes and he says the pancakes are not as good as his Mom’s and definitely not as good as his Grandma’s. ((shaking head)) A dream got busted today. Poor little guy.

When I saw the ping the first thing I thought of was the word "slaver" with a macron over the "ā" - most appropriate when applied to the Obama Regime and its totalitarian apparatchiks.

Today in our press and sun bulletin paper and online, they put up the dispatch exchanges from our fatal line of duty death fire. Hot buttons have been pushed. My FB page is full and the natives are angry. You can hear it or read the transcript. From the reaction, I would say the department is far from healed. Too painful to listen to. I heard it live that night. Cannot say how horrific it was to hear. Just glad I wasn’t on the scene that night. Why on earth would I want to hear that again? Or think about it. Or relive it? Not happening. I would cancel the paper, but I did that 20 years ago.

It is 51 and sunny here-it was downright cold this morning-below 40...

Obama’s minions are saying
Obamascare will be a wreck-
And the only way to “save” it
Is to write a bigger check

An amount to make them slaver
Is the only thing we must do-
And don’t forget a lot of pork
To pay off the leeches, too

As more states see the trap
And smell the molasses, too
They step back and file a suit
While trying to avoid the goo-

I guess they’ve had snow in the uppermidwest but that front has stalled to the west of me.

Nicest weather in the country, here right now.

That doesn’t happen too often.

And after a winter that wouldn’t end until a few days ago here, yes global warming is bulls****

It can be winter for awhile longer every year-that is fine with me-I have never liked summer much anyway especially July and August.

It does look as though the several-hundred-year warm period we are in is ending. Scientific study, and historical records show that this has happened before, and it is cyclical-but that doesn’t fit the hysterical mantra that the sky is falling...

We had our BMI checks for insurance eligibility today. I feel like a Bluth company employee. I’m officially “overweight.” But not obese, which would preclude me.

Woo hoo! Overweight! Don’t Buy! Steve Holt!

How much does one have to weigh for a certain height to be officially overweight? I work with guys who do the physically heavy labor on job sites (a few pump some iron, too)-one guy is my height of 5’9”, and weighs 190 something. He is built like a brick s***house-there is not an ounce of fat on him-pure eye candy. Would he be overweight?

http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/guidelines/obesity/BMI/bmicalc.htm

Courtesy of the federal gov’t.

5-9, 190 is a 28.1. Overweight. Not obese.

I am 5-10. I would have to weight 174 to not be “overweight.”

I could weigh as little as 129 and be “normal.”

It’s largely unrealistic nonsense.

Well, that IS dumb-and it doesn’t take body frame size into account-I’ve got a small frame-but it says I’m underweight at 110-with a BMI of 16.2. I do mostly physical work-I just don’t eat processed food crap, so I don’t have fat on me-I guess I’d likely die in a famine, though.

Most of the men I work with are either overweight or under, according to that stupid BMI calculator, too...

Is there anything of value to the recording (as a matter of public record) or is this just media sensationalism?

Unfortunately it is a public record. That doesn’t mean the media has to sensationalize it.

Nothing newsworthy. Just a normal fire scene. Yelling for more water. Yelling “man down”. Call for more ambulances and green tags (men who can go into building). Raw emotion of the fire chief. So, no, nothing we needed to hear. Lots went on at the scene that was wrong, but nothing on the radio transmissions. I listened live to the radio that night. Scary as hell. I went right to FB and KNEW it was bad. Folks pulled their posts immediately, but you could tell. By morning, it was all out there on FB. More than I would ever want to know. He was a 30+ year old father, husband, son, neighbor, friend... It was a big deal here. Still is. It will take years to get over this. He was from my department fighting a fire in the next district under another department and chief.
