Looks like the fire started in the trunk — what could that have been???
The San Mateo bridge is about 20 miles south of the city of SF.
Well....just under the trunk....there’s a gas tank....
Big stereo system? High power electronics, poor venting?
500lb subwoofer. Ooomph!
Maybe free-basing cocaine is making a comeback.
Is organized crime much of an issue in the South Bay?
An incendiary device would do this.
Organized crime? We call it “government” here.
I would suspect electrical problems started the fire. Most limos have at least two alternators and multiple batteries to power everything.
I’d have to say no. This was ten women going to or coming from a bachelorette party I believe.
At least four of the women and the driver got out o, so tomorrow’s news will tell us what happened.
Those sitting nearer the front, most probably got out and the ones in the back nearer the trunk couldn’t get out.
Dreadful. RIP.
Well....just under the trunk....theres a gas tank....

This was a Lincoln limo , gas tank is behind rear axle and in front of trunk , it will not drag in a suspension collapse... The first pic shows the limo dragging it’s rear end pretty bad ... most limo builders throw out Fords air suspension system and install real steel springs, this one may have had air springs .. it would explain the nose up attitude ... this looks electrical to me ... also most limo’s , in order to maintain strength in the stretched bodies , have only one rear door ... the ones that got out were likely those closest to the rear.
Or not.
