Depending upon what year it was, the parent can claim the child as a dependent as long as it was born alive. Doesn’t matter if the baby died 1 second later it is still a tax deduction for that year. Too bad the statute of limitations is 3 yrs!

Good for Fr. Pavone. Making a clear bright distinction between "the mortal remains of a child" and "a sack of medical waste" is a lesson this nation is desperate to learn.

If the authorities put the babies' bodies in a Hefty bag and tossed them in a landfill, there are some whose only moral concern would be whether the plastic was biodegradable.
