A high ranking source at Cumulus radio told the Radio Ink that 48 out of 50 advertisers gave orders to exclude Rush and Hannity from their packages. Of course, the radio company that distributes Limbaughs show released a statement that the claim is completely inaccurate.
There was talk earlier this week that Limbaughs relationship with Cumulus was in danger given the major advertising boycott he incited after calling Sandra Fluke a slut on the air. The boycott allegedly cost ABC Radio $5.5 million.

I highly doubt that any real advertiser cares all that much about what Limbaugh said 6 months ago.
Yeah, its funny how this story suddenly re-surfaces in several different places simultaneously.
Yeah, that’s why Rush makes over $100 million a year and Sean about $40 million.
Why would any advertiser reject an audience of 20milliom+ and 10million+...anyone beleive this?

to be honest talk radio has been cowards for the most part on social issues, the likes of Hannity are a joke, can’t mention marriage don’t ask but he states he supports the troops and vets.
Can’t mention cross dressing, abortion much either but he plays the safe angle to keep peace with his pals Beckel, Colmes etc and the establishment .
Only Levin and a couple are worth listening to now

This whole thing is good for Rush and anonymous advertisers are probably companies no one knows about anyway.
It is just another liberal lie right up there with the “90% of guns in Mexico are from the US”.
This is all part of the Obama/liberal media attempt to silence Rush. It ain’t gonna work.
Sinking ships like NewsWeak have been predicting the demise of talk radio for decades.
And the people who bitched about Rush calling Fluke a slut never listen to him anyway.
Is someone forcing Cumulus to renew the contract? Seems like the solution is pretty simple for them. Or did Rush tell them to take a hike and Cumulus is simply laying down a “video made them do it” story for their stockholders?
From the story as it was told six months back, it’s the latter.
