Earliest Evidence of Human Hunting Found

Archaeologists have unearthed what could be the earliest evidence of ancient human ancestors hunting and scavenging meat.

Animal bones and thousands of stone tools used by ancient hominins suggest that early human ancestors were butchering and scavenging animals at least 2 million years ago.

The theory says there were human ancestors two million years ago. Nobody said they were anatomically modern humans.

Well it was in Africa - so I don’t think keeping warm was much of an issue. And the site was littered with stone tools, and the bones were scraped with stone tools - so tools made from bone may well have been in use as well.
