The two owners of Amys Baking Company Bakery Boutique & Bistro took over the restaurants Facebook page last night to fight unruly commenters, and man, was it embarrassing.
If you recognize the name of the restaurant, it was recently featured on an episode of Gordon Ramseys Kitchen Nightmares. The owners were dumped by Ramsey after being too difficult to work with.

take a look at this and tell me what you think.
Gordon Ramsey gives me indigestion.
I see your point. This restaurant is off my list.
I never cared for him till I saw this. I have to admit he is correct.
Facebook, Twitter and other social media are so powerful that they can be used to elect ineligible candidates, destroy well-qualified candidates and businesses, etc. — or accomplish just the opposite. I pray that conservatives will use the “new media” a lot more.
I never miss Gordon. He’s non PC and says what people need to hear. THIS couple was Bat S**t crazy. I’ve long been of the opinion that Ramsay should bring a psychiatrist along with him because so many of the owners need mental help. They have the money to buy a business but are emotionally and mentally incapable of working with others. This particular woman looked seriously bipolar- wild eyed- and Gordon saw it right away. He even commented on her eyes! Here’s a man who has restaurants all over the world and these yahoos with failing businesses ARGUE with him! This place should go down in flames ASAP.
The fact that so many people like this are serving food is downright frightening.
Why do you think Facebook does not want pictures of aborted babies posted? Of course it is powerful!!
What you said!!!!
for home reading.
“Almost forgot to...piss on the fish.”
I beleive I may steal this, post on FB and listen for the gasps . .
if you dont mind . ? .
If you saw the Kitchen Nightmares episode you saw that Amy is the very definition of a spoiled princess, including the royal meltdown at the slightest hint of criticism - or even if she percieves a lack of sufficient praise.
By all means please do!
People who don’t know what they’re doing shouldn’t open restaurants.
I saw it. Gordon walked out because she is unreachable.
Not my cup of tea. Even with pastry.
That same logic should apply to people running for public office.
lol...hilarious! I’ve always liked Gordon...a breath of fresh air in an age where people are so afraid of speaking their mind.
P.S. No insult intended; I’m just allergic to reality TV and spoiled brats. Combine the two and I could go anaphylactic.
Gordon Ramsey gives me indigestion.
I wanna cook him a meal, he would probably die from shock before the first bite, it is not that I cook unhealthy food, but the fact that I cook .. well “Weirdly”....
I make a mean fake mashed potaoes made out of whey protein powder and country grave and Kroger Carb Master Milk...
The purple food colouring makes it sooo much better than regular mashed potatoes...
Horry clap.... the crazy just jumps off the screen and grabs you by the throat.
Just up the “street” from me. Funniest episode of KM ever. You knew Amy was crazy when she said that her husbands stable of girls back in his wild Vegas days (when they met, her in the stable) was hotter than Hefner’s.
“Never eat food from an establishment who is in the midst of a bitter feud. I don’t recall the name of the fighting couple in War of the Roses...”
Or the doggie pate...
Slings I don’t watch Gordon Ramsey I just found this story by accident. I saw some clips of him and thought him a little uppity but now after reading and watching this entire show I truly believe he has a point. Furthermore I wonder how this business survived this long with that woman running the show. The husband seems to have a lick of sense but the wife is too far gone in my opinion. What is worse I have worked at places like this now I know what is wrong with them.
“Why do you think Facebook does not want pictures of aborted babies posted? Of course it is powerful!!”
Not even links to such pictures?
There is nothing anyone can say that will convince me these so called "reality" programs are reality. Everything is staged and the most outrageous the actions the better.
At 10:06 of the video when Ramsey returns to the restaurant the next morning, the restaurant is locked, nobody is there. But yet there is a cameraman filming Ramsey peering thru the doors prior to the cameraman then filming a long shot of the the interior of the vacant restaurant.
So who let the cameraman in or did he come thru the chimney like Santa?
Obviously we were hacked == I can’t believe we were that stupid. What were we thinking?
“Not even links to such pictures?”
Yes you may post links to but not actual pictures.
Mind you child porn is rampant and people have formed a “neighborhood watch” trying to hunt sites and people who post such things and report them so that facebook may drag their heels in removing it and banning the person who did it. Aborted babies? Nope not allowed. “Offensive”.
Here’s what I got from these two. He was a Hugh Hefner wanna be who hung out in Vegas and fancied himself a gangster. He told Gordon to his face “ I am a gangster...” She admitted he had a string of arm-bimbos before her but she got her hooks in him. He’s paying dearly for his ‘arm candy’, spent over a million to buy her a restaurant and she CANNOT be contradicted in anything. Over 100 employees fired! No one is good enough for them and he even justified taking the servers tips because they didn’t deserve them! Cursing out and threatening customers! And they wonder why their business is tanking! Then they have the nerve to insist their food is great- while the place is empty and they are calling a billionaire professional to ‘help’ then argue with him!
Low class lounge lizards who need psychiatric help and LOTS of lithium- both of them! I just wish Gordon would tell people like this- just once- “ When you’re out of business I’ll offer you 10 cents on the dollar for it!” And he should call in authorities to have such people shut down permanently- especially the ones with health hazards.
It was either a pickup (aka fake shot all reality shows do a few of to put scenes together in editing), or it came from one of the ceiling mounted cameras they put in (which we got to see them removing in this ep). Can’t remember if the peering shot was level (faked pickup) or angled down (ceiling).
There was no cameraman. Each restaurant is loaded with cameras: walls, ceilings — everywhere. If they wanted to take a shot of Ramsay through the door they could do it with a cameraman.
“we wuz hacked”...
Good luck. :)
I only ate there once, a couple of years ago. I guess the husband served us - I remember his hair as being darker (though I suppose the fact that he's still alive at all after being married to THAT for so long proves he's as tough a gangster as he says he is...) He wasn't rude to us - I guess because we paid the bill and didn't complain. Service was slow, food on the low side of mediocre, and the prices very high. We sat outside, so we didn't hear any screams from the kitchen.
With another good breakfast restaurant right across the parking lot, I've never felt the need to return to ABC since. We go to the other place at least twice a month. I didn't even know about all the controversy until I saw the linked website then watched the episode yesterday, but historical Yelp reviews suggest they have been an ongoing soap opera in town for years. This economy is not forgiving toward dilettantes with rich husbands, so when the old guy runs of money they'll be done. Gordon Ramsey did his best to put them out of our misery, but they can probably fool enough tourists and seasonal residents to pay their rent so I suspect we haven't heard the end of this sordid tale.
Obviously our Facebook, YELP, Twitter and Website have been hacked. We are working with the local authorities as well as the FBI computer crimes unit to ensure this does not happen again. We did not post those horrible things. Thank You Amy &Samy
Hacked by low-level employees, no doubt.
Perhaps it should be "What were we drinking?"
You know..when it comes to batshit crazy, loss of reality, over-the-top meltdowns I thought Charlie Sheens epic hgead long charge into insanity could not be topped... I was wrong.
Ding ding ding. We have a new “WINNING” winner!
My family may go there to “eat” this weekend. lol (just the cakes she doesn’t make there)
They weren’t answering their phone last night when one of my family tried to call to make reservations. (for dessert only)
Admitting to taking employees' tips should get them investigated by the labor folks. I'd suspect that doing so is quite illegal.
I suppose there are at least two kinds of posters on this thread, but generally two. One, people who have owned or served as executive chef in restaurants, and everyone else.
Trust me - in the restaurant business over 90% of your fired employees will talk smack about you, and they’re easy to find.
There are plenty of egotistical dicks in kitchens, and owning restaurants.
Yes, it is bad to call something “fresh” when it’s not, and I never did it.
But you know what? IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME.
And people get fired ALL THE TIME for all sorts of reasons.
...And though the focus is on the ravioli it could have been any of a THOUSAND things that “aren’t quite right” or “aren’t quite honest” in almost EVERY kitchen.
If you don’t know this, you don’t know this.
Their big mistake was inviting this guy into their kitchen and signing whatever release they signed.
His job is to make fools of people and he’s good at it.
Plus his “it’s not normal” speech at the end is a bunch of crap. Everything he listed is COMPLETELY normal for lots of small restaurants.
Maybe Sheriff Arpaio would be interested. If stealing tips isn't a crime, it should be.
Even worse than the restaurant stealing the worker’s tips is the workers have to pay taxes on an “assumed” amount of tips. So their workers not only didn’t get their tips to begin with, they will have to file taxes as if they did. Yikes!
