Yogi - the best description I ever heard of him (I am a Mets fan) - The only guy who can command a standing ovation in The Bronx (NYY) and Queens (NYM). Thank you.
Hmmm, how about Casey Stengel and maybe David Cone.
I had the pleasure of spending time with Yogi, his wife, and his granddaughter last fall. He was very funny, down to earth, and sharp. American icon no doubt.
If Casey were still alive, I would say “Yes, indeed”.
Cone ? Perhaps, you raise a good point -I guess the ony way we can be sure is if he made the appearance, in both places.

He wrote a terrific book titled “When You Come To A Fork In The Road, Take It!”. A very quick read that’s written in Yogi’s inimitable style. I highly recommend it.
Nobody reads that Yogi Berra book anymore. It’s too popular.
For those unfamiliar with Yogi-isms, that's a takeoff on one of his famous statements about a particular restaurant:
Nobody goes there, it's too crowded.
My favorite Yogi story was at the pizza parlor:
The waitress asked, “Would you like your pizza cut into four pieces or eight?”
“Better make it four,” Yogi said. “I don’t think I could eat eight.”
