LOL. Now that’s a robot I could use for sure.

This is my tobacco as of this morning. The board underneath it is marked in 1 ft. increments.

Hard to believe you got that plant from the orange “dust” tobacco seed.

It is amazing. I showed it to my neighbor this morning and she wants me to start a few for her to go in her flower bed. She thinks it's a pretty plant.

In the middle of the row, though are much less healthy plants. I've got a weak spot in my garden, and I don't know what it is yet. I will be working on finding that out and fixing it.

I wish I had a 400x microscope.

Do you know what the actual chemical composition is of the paperboard carton shipping containers?

I don't know what is in the paperboard, but the inks themselves will also contain various resins--large polymers, chosen because of the application and desired effect (nitrocellulose for a shiny, high gloss finish, for example). They can also contain plasticizers. Water soluble inks can contain urea.

Not everything I wrote was specifically intended for you. There are people who agonize over things in what they eat while the ignore obvious problems. Our food supply is not as secure and safe as it once was--everyone should start reading labels carefully. Much canned fruit is no longer canned here. Much hard candy comes from Mexico or Argentina. The reason why I don't work for that ink company any longer--they were the second largest outfit in the country--is because so much packaging was no longer being printed and used here.

Thank you for the clarification. This factor of foreign countries providing our food without clear labeling, or found only in really fine print is one of my pet peeves.

Just one of many reasons I decided to become as self sufficient with respect food as I can.

Have you tested the soil in the portion that is not doing so well?

I will do some chemical tests, but I would like to do bacteria and fungi counts/IDs in that area as well.

I’ve got 3 Black Krim cuttings in the works right now. As you mentioned, two flattened themselves out. All respond well to waterings.

There is a annual flower called Nicotiana and my wife planted 80 of them in one of her flower beds yesterday. They are related to tobacco.

I've seen them. A friend of mine in NM grows them in her dry flowerbed. They are very pretty. But they are a far cry from my Burley as far as tobacco goes. I wouldn't try to smoke that on a bet. ;)

Really tobacco is a beautiful plant. Too bad it is so toxic. ;)

After what you’ve been through, you are the only one I can think of that’s entitled. Wish my hubby would quit the cigars though. He inhales.

I would advise a daughter not bug him about it. I would never presume to give advice to strangers that are adults.

I figured out after my first wife that a pipe and small catz were about the same as being married.

The pipe will eventually kill you and the catz are annoying and disruptive and make a mess.

Nagging is what pushes things over the line. ;)

The catz don't nag.

You are wise and right. I learned many years ago the nagging would not work, nor pleading for the sake of his health. He has quit for periods of time and recently started up again. I thought he was done for good.

The catz don't nag.

The kittehs don't nag and they don't leave greasy pillowcases from lack of bathing. Kittehs never complain when you watch one wuxia movie after the other. Kittehs don't run up big secret debts.
