And now for Plaxico Burress’ favorite story of the day. A Quebec police officer who reported being shot during a party raid last Saturday appears to have actually shot herself in the leg.
According to Guns.com, the incident occurred around 10 p.m. The officer was running down a hill when she discharged a round from her 9mm pistol into her leg.
Perhaps in an effort to protect her job (she’s only been on the job for three years), the officer didn’t report that she shot herself. Instead, she said a gunman from the party shot her. After an ambulance arrived and rushed the officer to the hospital, a huge and predictably unsuccessful search for the non-existent shooter ensued.

She’s too stoopit to be a cop. She didn’t think they would check her firearm to see if it had been discharged?
Maybe check for Powder around the wound and her hands?
Maybe even check to see if the bullet line up with the lans and grooves of her weapon?
Check on the trajectory?

This is what scares me about interacting with the police when they're under stress. Too many of them have poor trigger discipline and, sexist as it may be, the worst offenders I've seen are females.
Laying aside the humor for a moment...if she had come up with a good description for a perp and stuck to her story, some innocent sucker might have very well gone to jail for this.
The TSA is calling her right now.
What should happen but probably won’t.
1. Fired, no chance of rehire ever.
2. Charged for costs of huge manhunt search personally.
3. Brought up on charges of unlawful weapon discharge, lying to police, lying to police in official role of police officer, endangering the public due to manhunt search tactics, covering up lies to police by continuing to lie over period of time.
4. Conviction on all counts and jail time.
Officers like this need to be harshly punished. They are the reason why so many don’t trust cops anymore. Further they are predisposed to be believed by those in authority including courts, and when they abuse that extra power regular people don’t have as defendants and they screw up, the hammer needs to come down harder on them. Regular people also don’t have partners and a fraternity that backs up their guys’ lies as well. They are supposed to be better trained than us peons as well, so this shouldn’t have even happened. But it did. And it does far too often.
Make big examples out of them.
She is a woman. She’ll cry. She’ll get a slap on the wrist.
