fractious; adj.
1. refractory or unruly: a fractious animal that would not submit to the harness. 2. readily angered; peevish; irritable; quarrelsome: an incorrigibly fractious young man.
Etymology: fractious
1725, from fraction in an obsolete sense of "brawling, discord" + -ous; probably on model of captious. Related: Fractiousness
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

Here is my example with WFTD.
The word fractious means to be unruly or not submissive. This word is often confused by people with the word factious. A sentence using the word fractious could be 'The fractious horse would not allow the harness to be put on'.
EW Jackson, newly nominated candidate for Lt. Gov. in VA will be perceived as fractious by the Dems. He has urged blacks to leave the Democrat plantation.

xshub and xsbaby were both delegates to the Republican state convention in Richmond this past weekend. To xsbaby’s delight, her nametag said VIP delegate on it, and xshub’s did not. It has to be because of her past work for the fairfax co. republicans. it was a great experience for her and a long day. They keep balloting until there is a majority winner. EW Jackson, who has been on Glenn Beck and mentioned by Rush, in the past, is our candidate for Lt. Governor— a black preacher speaking truth to black power! Ken Cuccinelli was unapposed for rep nomination as governor.
