Star Trek Into Darkness writer Damon Lindelof apologises for including 'misogynistic' Alice Eve underwear scene
Trekkies and moviegoers around the globe have been very vocal with their criticism about one particular scene in the new Star Trek Into Darkness movie. A short scene in the blockbuster that features a semi nude Alice Eve has caused such furore that the film's producer has publicly apologised for it. Damon Lindelof used his Twitter account to say sorry for the clip which has been deemed 'misogynistic' and unnecessary by some viewers.

Showing Kirk in bed with, not one but two female cat people is ok (freaky psuedo bestiality is fine with libs) but simply showing a normal female body in something that needs to be apologized for.
She’s only allowed to be that nekkid when she shows up at the Oscars to claim her award...
And this after all those yeomen running around in tiny little miniskirts in the original, Deanna Troi in her skintight leotards in TNG, and a scene in Star Trek Enterprise where a male and female character spent about a minute in their underwear slathering disinfectant gel all over one another in a decontamination chamber.
Not to mention, Seven of Nine.
I saw that scene in IMAX 3d....ugly scene...felt lunch coming up.....uhhh at least that’s what I told my wife who was sitting next to me. (whistling past the grave yard.....)
I remember in the first reboot of Star Trek we saw Zoe Saldana, Chris Pine, and Rachel Nichols in their underwear.
Saw that scene in IMAX 3d with my son...good thing we had unlimited refills of popcorn as the bag fell off my son's lap.
Yeah, you’re probably right. And I probably fell for it.
That scene was needed of course for the plot. sarc///
That hot blonde hit the set knowing she was eye candy.
How many years into the future and underwear is still the same as today?
Oh, a beautiful, blonde woman in lingerie, oh the humanity! This is seriously one of the least offensive things coming out of Hollyweird, I find shows and movies that push the gay agenda to be way more offensive.
Gee, this “apology” sure has gotten this flick a lot of free publicity, hasn’t it.
I has thought that underwear that far into the future would be some type of personal semi transparent force screen... personally adjustable for touch, semi touch, or “don’t touch me” static shock settings! Other features might include “potty on the run” disintegration features and antiflatulence protections with noise suppression! Energize!
EXACTLY my point, anyone that disagrees is either a liar or well.. you know.....
Impressive! She is...umm.....very fit.
I would love to know Abram’s opinion on this idiocy.
I second that, ‘NOT GUILTY!’
Male homos deeply offended....
