A few months ago I was at a restaurant and was looking for something light to drink. Light as in refreshing. PBR draft popped into my head even though I haven’t had one in decades so I ordered it.

It really hit the spot for a hot day.

I had no idea about this trend though oddly enough just last night I ordered a PBR and then I heard this “kid” order one at the table next to me. I did think it was strange at the time. Now I know why.

“While all the attention has been on craft beers, the price of mainstay brands in the mid-price tier have risen more dramatically,”

Makes sense. Less volume under an economically @sstard, business hostile socialist regime, and they need to raise prices to be able to pay for their forced FOS obama deathcare plans.

We are all socialists now, and subject to it's tyranny. Subtle price changes, sinister cause.

In the ‘60’s when I was in high school PBR was the most popular brand of beer among teenagers. Probably because it had a sweet flavor and was dirt cheap.

Worse is all the hipsters drinking beer that has all kinds of non-beer stuff in it.

I do not want to drink honey-walnut-maple syrup-daffodil-saffron flavored beer. Beer is not wine. Beer is not kool aid

Gimme a beer-flavored beer

Don’t let this guy fool you, Pabst has been actively courting these dopes for a decade.

“The answer that the Pabst Brewing Company has come up with involves cash payments to rowdy bike messengers.”

“In theory, a company that discovers one of its products has started growing of its own accord could simply do nothing. But it’s hard to do nothing. Especially for marketers. For P.B.R. it was clearly important to at least appear to be doing as little as possible. This is one reason that a traditional response to the discovery that ‘’alternative people’’ were buying the beer in Portland — taking out ads on local alt-rock stations — was nixed.”

As I told one teenie-something when she was bragging about the hipsturd thing - ‘Good to know your generation recycles’. That got a dirty look.

Gotta love it though, channeling grunge and hippies and drinking great-grandpa’s beer. They definitely beg and borrow from everyone.

I will give them chops in that they seem to have a little more down-to-earthness than the grunge coffee-house crowd back in my day.
