Yadda, yadda, yadda and 4 hours later I'm driving home a brand new Sportage.
The color is called "Mineral Silver" with a black interior.
It's all wheel drive, but unlike my old car which was full time, this one is front wheel drive unless it detects slippage, and then the rear wheels kick in.
It's got the touch screen media interface to let you play your devices or bluetooth your phone. It even has storage on it for mp3s.

xshub’s lexus has the touchscreen and it recognizes the phone and because my music is on my phone it automatically recognizes that. i was floored bc i had obv touched something and didn’t realize it and all of a sudden music is playing, and it’s not the radio etc. and i finally figured out it was my iphone/ipod music. i totes want that on my next car. i can play my music now but it requires the wire. I will prob get a new highlander next winter, but only if it has the wireless recognition of the music.

did i tell you my niece and her husband were in japan two weeks ago? he sells kauai pianos in his store and i guess won a trip for highest # of sales or something. They were singing mr. roboto under their breath the entire time they were there.
Not quite, but we had a confluence of events. My wife’s car is just about paid off. And mine is orphaned (Suzuki no longer sells cars in the US), and the warranty is set to expire. So I wanted to get ride of it while it still had some value.
My wife wanted to package with the touchscreen and the backup camera. I could have done without. It also adds heated side mirrors (which are good) and they have an LED strip on them so they act like turn signals, too.
The climate control is still manual with knobs. I’ve rented cars where the touchscreen controls the fan and whatnot and it’s just not as convenient.
I am sure a new Highlander will have bluetooth music capability. In some package and trim level.
IMHO, big mistake. I have a silver Cadillac with a black interior. Never again. Great car, but I keep losing things in the interior. You can't see anything if you check the inside through the windows while parked in the garage. We've "lost" keys, gloves, wallets, prayer books, etc. and wasted untold minutes of our lives looking for these articles all over the house, only to find them already in the car after all. PLUS, the black interior "shows" more dirt than my champagne interiors ever did.
I still have doggie footprints in the back seat, even though we lost our dog in Feb. When my knee feels better, I'll have to get back there with a soapy rag and a vacuum cleaner and clean the last of the dog memories out of there.

I understand the concern, but I had black interior on the car it replaced without incident. Of course, I don’t park it in the garage, cause the garage is full of stuff.
And the dog is not going in this car.
It is a nice car SD - and of course in your part of the world 4WD is important! It really is amazing all the neat things newer cars offer - I’m sure you will enjoy it!

Not too bad. You have to realize the show is very much in “chapters” with each episode focusing on a particular character.
Portia di Rossi looks like she had some strange face surgery. Definitely not as cute as she was. All Shawkat was in the age range where I thought she would look a lot different, but she actually looks exactly the same.
They have Seth Rogan and Kristen Wiig playing a young George and Lucille.
We were surprised. This Cadillac (which we bought with 18,000 miles on it) had every option we wanted. We already were resistent to a black exterior, although we would have settled for that. We didn’t even think about the black interior and are shocked that it has become a problem. My car even has a sun roof, and that doesn’t help much. The windows are slightly tinted, but not too much.
On Mother’s Day we drove to brunch in our friends’ similar Cadillac — black exterior with an “ice platinum” interior. What a difference! Our car has fewer miles and more features, but their interior is nicer.
There is a button for downhill descent. If on a really steep decline, you can press this button and it will guide you down at 5 mph. All you need to do is steer.
It also has a chilled glovebox, so you can take out the manual and owner’s card and fill it up with cold beverages. Really.
I liked that. Nice touch.
I've seen more episodes already than I want to admit and it's not bad but I laughed more watching reruns of earlier seasons on Netflix recently.
Now I like that! Chilled - that could be very handy!
They did reprise the breakfast/family bit in the first new episode. (It bookends the original series, with “family” being the answer in the pilot and “breakfast” being the answer in the final episode.)
I still like when Buster finds the box of wine and thinks it’s a giant juicebox. And the narrator says it’s the first time he had tasted alcohol since he was nursing.
yes, we have the heated mirrors, backup camera and the rest, just not wireless. the lexus also has something on the sideview mirrors that blinks when someone is in your blindspot next to you. All of it just requires getting accustomed to it.
