I like Texans, I really do. But they keep boasting here on FR about how well they will do after seceding from the Union.

I beg to differ, not with about 15 million to 20 million illegal aliens from Mexico in Texas. Or is it 30 million?

The Republicans want the cheep, exploitable labor. The Democrats see them as potential voters. All those illegal aliens see is a chance to take over Tejas and murder gringoes.

The Cocopa like the Yaqui and other tribes, lived in the Sonoran desert astride the current US-Mexican border. They were as indigenous as anyone.

Mexicans imported Germans to act as a buffer to the Apache. Then all of a sudden there were 14,000 Germans in Texas so they started paying the Apache to try to run off the Texicans.

In the sand dunes near Kino Bay, you can find painted pottery, regular potter, and rock chips from the making of stone implements. I didn’t find any arrowheads but did find a drill chipped from charmelion (sp?) volcanic glass. Rugged and very dry desert on both sides of the gulf. I have to admire the Seri who live there now.

"They’re either going to have to drop indiginous or change its meaning to mean the ones before the ones now."

I've suggested Paleoamericans.

The Asian body style didn't arrive into to Americas until about 5,000BC. Before that, it was Kennewick Man type people.

Were Texas to secede do you really think we would allow the illegals to stay?

the Spanish and the Mexicans had a great admiration for the American ability to take raw land, live under horrible primitive conditions, withstand the worst weather on the planet, and produce crops like there was no end.

Americans were known to use a lot of "Green-Gro" fertilizer, hence the name "Gringos".

The only place I have found pottery shards was in one of New Mexico's cliff dwellers state parks where the sign said DO NOT PICK UP ARTIFACTS (I could not help myself I did it). Where is Kino Bay?

The Phillippines last I looked got their independence from US but make no claims on our sovereign states like Mexico does.

Costa Rica also has similar land owning restrictions but they lay no claims to parts of our country. Also I am told in the Phillippines and Costa Rica English is their second languange. They certainly aren’t inciting their nationals as the Mexicans are doing .

Particularly those who are nothing more than squatters living here illegaly with their claims on US putting up their flag and taking over buildings and running off American citizens where they have a majority in areas Mexican’s claim as their territory..

We Better Put A Screechin Halt To This

Yes. I see no move on the part of your state to police the border. What I’m told is it isn’t the duty of the State of Texas. Granting education monies to the children of illegal aliens, children born in another nation, has been a Texan effort in the past, done for political reasons.

Illegals are a hired by agriculture and building industries, and crony capitalism is a problem in Texas. It’s were political contributions originate. Sarah Palin has warned us about that in politics.

It’s no surprise Democrats encourage illegal aliens — they see new voters for their party.

It will be very difficult for the middle-class Texan who wants an independent Texas free of Mexico’s influence. I don’t see secession as being of any benefit. A Union with other states or staying in the greater Union and working it out will be better for the majority of Texans.

Northern Mexico, on the Gulf of California. There are hundreds of ruins scattered throughout Arizona. They are usually on the high ground near rivers (now dry).

That is right where we were. Sonora, I know the artifacts were there, I just didn't find anything. All of my arrowhead hunting with huge success has been in south Texas and along the Rio Grande, on both sides of the river.

The USA should demand reciprocity, especially since Filipinos are now our second largest immigrant group.

Same for Mexico.

If we can’t own land or businesses in their countries, why should they be allowed to own them in ours?

Same goes for immigration.

If they allow a certain number of Americans to become citizens, then we reciprocate and allow a certain number of Mexicans and Filipinos to become citizens here.

I’m disturbed by the fact that Mexican-Americans and Filipino-Americans never publicly criticize their former governments for unfair and hypocritical policies.
