I guess we shouldn't give the radical left wing extremist demokkkrat scumbag socialists any ideas like, background checks for buying cap guns. (Shaking my head in wonder. So are Gene and Roy and Hoppie.)

Shouldn’t kids have a Constitutional right to own a cap gun?

no mens rea, the child was effectively tortured by the administration, the mom should file a child abuse complaint.

In my day, if a teacher caught me with a cap gun (or any other contraband), she would take it, place it insider her desk, and give it back at the end of the day. The worst that would happen was maybe missing out on recess.

When are people going to abandon the public schools en masse and either homeschool or private school their kids.

As for being a weapon, a cap gun is a club.
It can’t actually launch a projectile.
Whe idiot scaring the kid into wetting his pants needs to be enhanced interrogated until he to pees his pants.

The Post explains that the principal — Jennifer L. Young, according to Dowell Elementary’s website — told the kindergartener’s mother that things would have been even worse had the toy gun been loaded with caps. In that case, the school would have regarded the plaything as an explosive and called the police.

So school officials are too dumb to handle a "loaded" cap gun.

What if they were presented with a real firearm in the school that was just doped by a would be shooter. I bet they would call the cops and hope he doesn't grab it and start shooting. The smart thing would be to take it and neutralize the threat or at least make it safe depending on the situation. I bet they don't know how to do either.

If this had happened to my child I would have slapped that biatch principal up side the head and taken my chances with a jury. This is just so stupid.

When my daughter was questioned why she thought owning guns was a Constitutional right during a discussion in her High School civics class she gave and answer that was not to the liberal teachers liking.

The liberal teacher pressed her and said "If someone broke into your house would you shoot them in the head and feel good about it."

Her answer: No sir, because my Dad would be very angry at me because, you always aim for "center mass" and Double Tap.

Needless to say the liberal teacher was not amused, but I was very proud!

The suspension will also be part of his permanent academic record.

Does anyone else find this totally hilarious?

Future employer: Well you had a 4.0 grade point but there is that Kindergarten cap gun incident.

Maybe its because I'm retiring from very good job and I look back on my childhood pranks and think this wouldn't even make my top 1000.

Can you imagine what would have happened if a prisoner at Gitmo were interrogated till he peed his pants?

My little boy (5 yrs) just finished pre-school yesterday...in his stuff was a Thank you card and some gifts from a parent who was here on a work visa from Japan. They have a beautiful, smart, and caring little girl that helped my son and has been a good friend over the last 2 yrs...my son has CP and is also very handsome, smart, and caring...one of the items in his bag was a water pistol - something that I and probably everyone else on this forum has had growing up - especially the last day of school - something to bring in and shoot everyone with water to celebrate another school year ending - all in good fun - and all those with common sense - can appreciate that.

What struck me was that, here is a mom, from Japan, exposing her child to out culture and sense of fun, that is going back to Japan in a few months because her husband’s position was for only 5 yrs here - but knew that it was a toy and not to be regarded as an insult or to show any type of irresponsibility...and the kids love stuff like that - because as a responsible parent - they are taught right from wrong in our house to both our kids...because every time this stupid left wing socialists crap comes up - we point it out so they know how to spot idiots as they grow up — and the examples are really getting too many to keep up with!

. . . the principal . . . told the kindergartener’s mother that things would have been even worse had the toy gun been loaded with caps. In that case, the school would have regarded the plaything as an explosive and called the police.

That would be scary if the kid brought an arsenal of explosives, such as potassium perchlorate, sulfur and antimony sulfide or of red phosphorus and potassium chlorate. I think this principal would have wet her pants instead of doing that to a little kid.

This action is so vile. If my child were questioned like this, the people who did the questioning would be seeing me in court.
There is no authority to do this.
As the parent, the child would never go back.........

Part of the solution is teaching children not to take this crap.

Even at that age, I was confrontational especially when I felt that the adults were treating me unfairly. Just teach your kids to just stop this childishness and tell the adults just punish him already, if that’s what they want to do, and “quit yapping, and I reserve all my legal rights.”

Then the real adults have to hold these people legally accountable.

I’m not a litigious guy, but the only thing these guys will understand is legal expenses, judgments, bankruptcy, etc.

Allow the parents to interrogate the principal for hours on end, until the same outcome is reached

Meanwhile, government welcomes into the U.S. tens of thousands of Muslims, millions more entering illegally, while government provides these foreigners, immigrants and illegals, like the Boston bomb terrorist, hundreds of thousands worth of tax paid benefits..

But go after the little kids with the toy guns....

Spit*

They are out of control. Now traumatizing children so they won’t grow up to tolerate guns and someday we’ll have a gun-free paradise. They are so divorced from reality it is frightening. Not to mention unaware of their own sadism.

I saw “Maryland” in the first paragraph and didn’t bother to read any more. Whoever did this needs his butt kicked, bad, and his boss, and his boss right up to the Governor. BTT
