I used to love the show when it originally aired. But later I realized the whole show was propaganda to make conservatives look like knuckle- draggers.

Kind of interesting, I watched the show back in the 1970’s and being a kid, the politics went over my head. It was the humor and stupid things they did that I laughed my -— off about - humor like bathroom stuff. But one thing, as I got older watching the show, there were many things presented that was screwed up like being required to work and having no place or right to enjoy the fruits of your labor. The character Meathead, he was laughed at by me as someone who was so ignorant and stupid but what I read about him in real life, the guy was and still is a dumbs—t and believed in the —— that he played on in the show.

When the show first aired in the early 1970s I used to watch it with my uncle. That was the first time I heard someone in a TV show yell:”What the Hell are you talking about!!??” I couldn't believe my ears! How far we have come since then as to what is shown on TV.

I was never a fan of the show because its obvious intent was socialist propaganda.
But a Freeper pointed out to me that it was actually pretty good in rerun - because things that the show ridiculed back in the day were indisputably true by then. For example, ridicule of the idea that Walter Cronkite was liberal rather than objective now triggers shadenfreude, not anger.
