The government is conducting a “war” on drugs and terror right? And now, every American citizen is being monitored by the government’s law enforcement, revenue collection, and intelligence agencies. By logical extension, everyone in the United States is a suspect in the war on drugs and terror. So here’s the good news.

Every time you call your drug dealer, the government knows. It knows who the dealer is, how much you pay, and what you are using. Every time you call up a pimp to have a call girl or a teenage age male or female prostitute delivered to you, the government knows. And if you are in an area where drugs are sold, or you visit a Nevada brothel, the government knows because it will track you there by your cell phone.

Do you have a fancy home in Malibu? Wonderful! Because if you use it as a place to have drugs or prostitutes delivered, it won’t be long and the government will use asset forfeiture to seize it from you - without trial! If you have an off shore bank account, the government knows. And soon, it will correlate the phone number of the off shore bank with the account information you have on your computer. In short order, your account will be emptied and you will get a visit from the IRS.

Sleep well liberals. You deserve the government you voted for.

Oh, I forgot something important. If you cut the size of the government, there will be less people to harass you, track you, seize your assets, and arrest you. Get it?

Most people don't understand the principles of OPSEC. They don't put together how PII collected from various sources can be merged to produce a very powerful personal profile on an individual.

IMO, this is the desired government endstate of all this data collection. Nothing good can come of it.

I hope someone outside the NSA is able to be briefed on the people who have been read into this system

I don't think the metadata here is what some have described as metadata. The other phone number, time of call, and duration don't constitute metadata. There is personally identifiable information associated with cell numbers. Your social security number, drivers license number, address, other numbers on the account. Really personal stuff.

People have to wake up and educate themselves to fully understand what is going on.
