'The bones of Elizabeth I, Good Queen Bess, lie mingled with those of her sister, Bloody Mary, in a single tomb at Westminster Abbey.
But are they really royal remains or evidence of the greatest conspiracy in English history?. If that is not the skeleton of Elizabeth Tudor, the past four centuries of British history have been founded on a lie.'

No way. There was a huge scandal after King Henry died, that Elizabeth was pregnant by her stepfather, Thomas Seymour, the new husband of Henry’s last wife Catherine Parr.
Also, there was no privacy in those times especially for a royal. There were spies everywhere and there is no way that this secret could have been kept into adulthood. When she was stricken with smallpox, it surely would have been discovered. Since there was such a drama about her successor, had this been the case, Catherine Grey would have immediately been crowned as the new ruler of England, especially with the power of the Seymours behind her.
I am your king!...................
“Balls!” said the Queen. “If I had to (two) I’d be King!”
The King laughed because he had to (two)!
Bah! We have a President who claims to be [ ]...
OK, ‘enry didn’t recognize his own daughter.
The earls of Leister and Essex, and Sir Walter Raleigh, and other swains were all boning a man.
I’ll buy that for quid.
Even as she said —
“...even in the dust. I know I have the body but of a weak and feeble woman; but I have the heart and stomach of a king, and of a king of England too...”
Interesting. I guess it’s all fanciful conjecture until they open up the crypt.
Even if a hoax, the blood line was restored with James.
Another attempt by the LGBT crossdresser community to embed themselves in history. The revisionist stuff they teach in school now.
Possibly the most stupid historical theory I’ve ever heard.
Lol! We’re supposed to believe that the most powerful monarch in the world, observed every second for the slightest mistake, could somehow pass as a member of the opposite sex for half a century???
This is nothing more than a morbid justification to open Elizabeth’s tomb and poke around in her mortal remains. And it’s motivated more by ghoulishness and sensationalism than any interest in historical truth.
Transgender organizations getting pretty jazzed about this. Women’s organizations? Not so much.
What? Cate Blanchett is a guy?
Well, that's just because I haven't got started yet. My narrative includes zombies. And Sir Francis Drake on a motorcycle.
A steam-powered motorcycle, right?
So Elizabeth was a male and one of the Pope’s was a female.
Such tales have amused the populace for decades, centuries.
The artist seems to show what appears to be beard shadow. If so, you have to wonder how the queen or her handlers let this happen.
There are many theories. I watched a BBC documentary on them. One is that Elizabeth was a man with undescended male parts another was that she had both male and female parts.
Agree. A player like Elizabeth would have made it her business to bump off the governess, the guardian, and anyone else who knew of such a switch, or who could identify the true princess. We are asked to believe instead that they thought themselves safe? Ha!
I'd much rather know a little more about Mr. Shakespeare, if we're to be digging up celebrities.
I’m surprised her “ladies in waiting” never noticed.
This is stupidity.
Alba gu brath!
Wouldnt half sister princess Mary have an interest in this?
Mary, Queen of Scots should have pants-ed her in court.
Ann Bolyen, Elizabeth’s mother did have a boy after her but he is suppose to have died at birth...
Exactly. Everyone of note was or is a secret queer.
Where’s the alien guy?
I don’t think I’ve ever come across a conspiracy theory about anything that I believed. This one sounds like the next Da Vinci Code.
bump for later
That sounds pretty good but not as good as Lincoln as a vampire killer.
And none of the ladies of the bedchamber noticed the Queen had a 5 o’clock shadow and was shaving?

Maybe that explains the thick white makeup?
Of all the actresses who have portrayed QEI, my favorite is Glenda Jackson.
Note to self....get a Photobucket account...
Or the Adam's apple, or a deep voice or chest hair?
Good point. A guy wanting to be a girl couldn’t get surgery for that in the 16th Century.

Thanks the scotsman.
Thanks Fractal Trader!
You're absolutely right, and I highly doubt that chief spy master Francis Walsingham would have looked the other way on this.
I noticed the apparent beard shadow in that painting as well, but some light-colored oil paints become more translucent with time. That could be simply underpainting showing through.
Of all the rotal familes who ruled England, the Tudors were the vilest.
Now that’s funny.
Well, they WERE Welsh.....
