“Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut” has the best scene for a father’s redemption toward a prodigal son.

Also recommend “Willow,” “Miracle,” “Apollo 13” and “The Great Escape”

On it’s own, GF III is not a bad movie at all...it just doesn’t measure up to the first two....but then again, few movies do.

And you also have to see Garcia’s “The Lost City”

I think he’s almost become persona non grata in Hollywood, because he dared showed the truth about their patron saint, Che Guevara.

He sleeps with a gun

Killed his wife ‘cos she weighed a ton.

The remake was OK, but I still thought the original with John Wayne and Glen Campbell was far better.

Main reasons:

The dialogue wasn’t the greatest, but the story was pretty good.

when I was a kid Dad took me with him to see Jim Thorpe All American (Bert Lancaster) I am Indian so he wanted me to see how far an Indian can go if he wants to.””

We have this movie on tape. All 3 of my kids saw it a couple of times. Thorpe was the greatest natural athlete ever. With today’s training techniques he would likely hold several world records.

I have the entire set with Don Knotts. Raised 3 kids on it. Best writers conveyed the best messages.

Bar none, the Agony and The Ecstasy, with Charleton Heston as Michaeangelo, is one of the most inspiring movies ever, a 1965 production, and none of the filth and perversion marketed by today’s homowood.
