My dad passed in 1992. I miss him every day. He was the salt of the earth. Everyone’s best friend. The guy who would give you the shirt off his back. He wasn't the demonstratively affectionate type, but I always knew he loved me, warts and all. An excellent husband, father, friend and neighbor.

My father was born on July 4th 1908 and passed away on April 15th - Tax Day - in 1998 - pretty much sums up where the country went during his lifetime....

My dad was a real mutha too. I told friends for years I would call him on muthas day. ;-)
