PRESIDENT OBAMA: Hello, Berlin! (Applause.) Thank you, Chancellor Merkel, for your leadership, your friendship, and the example of your life from a child of the East to the leader of a free and united Germany.
As Ive said, Angela and I dont exactly look like previous German and American leaders. But the fact that we can stand here today, along the fault line where a city was divided, speaks to an eternal truth: No wall can stand against the yearning of justice, the yearnings for freedom, the yearnings for peace that burns in the human heart. (Applause.)
Mayor Wowereit, distinguished guests, and especially the people of Berlin and of Germany thank you for this extraordinarily warm welcome. In fact, its so warm and I feel so good that Im actually going to take off my jacket, and anybody else who wants to, feel free to. (Applause.) We can be a little more informal among friends. (Applause.)
As your Chancellor mentioned, five years ago I had the privilege to address this city as senator. Today, Im proud to return as President of the United States. (Applause.) And I bring with me the enduring friendship of the American people, as well as my wife, Michelle, and Malia and Sasha. (Applause.) You may notice that theyre not here. The last thing they want to do is to listen to another speech from me. (Laughter.) So theyre out experiencing the beauty and the history of Berlin. And this history speaks to us today.
Here, for thousands of years, the people of this land have journeyed from tribe to principality to nation-state; through Reformation and Enlightenment, renowned as a land of poets and thinkers, among them Immanuel Kant, who taught us that freedom is. . . . (continued)

“Ich bin ein Kenyan.”
I think that Obama can only mention Democrat presidents when talking about past presidents and what they had done.
Republican presidents can only be mentioned if the intent is to criticize them.
Ich bin ein muslim made a total fool of himself. He removed his jacket and proceeded to act like a rock star, not a president. You can clearly see he should have remained a community organizer. His attempt to channel Reagan and Kennedy were just another failure in a LONG line of failures.
He’s a joke with no punchline!
“Mr Putin...Rebuild this wall”
Ich bin ein bull sh*tter.
As Ive said, Angela and I dont exactly look like previous German and American leaders
What a puny man.
Still not comfortable in his own skin after shaving it for some 40 years and looking at in the mirror for 50+.
Sad, sad, sad.
Usually by middle you accept yourself.
You guys need to cut him some slack. The sun was in his eyes. At least that’s what Chris Matthews said. :-D
Obviously written by a speech writer and read off a teleprompter.
I don’t care what this phoney fraud says.
There has been only one other tyrant in history whose picture I have seen of which Obama’s arrogant pose reminds me. That man was Benito Mussolini - IL DUCE [in this pose it is amended - IL DOUCHE]
What an ass-hat, playing the race card on foreign soil like that.
As long as he's on German soil he should be comparing himself to Sgt Schultz, since he knows nothing about anything happening at the IRS or in Benghazi or with wiretapping....
Ich bin ein dumbkopf.
“They said someday you’ll find
Reflected light can blind
So, when your eye’s on fire
You must realize
Sun gets in your eyes...”
Could have saved a lot of money. Put the speech on a thumb drive with a NSA welcome page. Have a local pass it out to interested Germans.
