A dolphin has died in China after tourists hoisted it out of the water to pose with it for photographs, state media said Tuesday, provoking outrage online.

Images posted online showed a group of tourists manhandling the grey creature, which washed ashore on a beach Sunday in the southern Chinese province of Hainan, the state-run Shanghai Daily reported, adding that it later died of "excessive bleeding."

what is it with chinese tourists?

it is all over the world. They are practically savages with no respect for the local historic artifacts.

It is not the fact they have no money, it is as if they have no education or sense of right from wrong.

The dolphin might have collided with a fishing boat before it became stranded, the paper quoted an expert as saying.

A self beached dolphin is usually a very ill or dying dolphin.

Last I checked, the Chinese are more likely to cook than rescue sick or injured animals.

“The dolphin might have collided with a fishing boat before it became stranded, the paper quoted an expert as saying.

If that’s accurate, the tourists probably had very little do with the unfortunate animals’ internal injuries. If it was bleeding from a wound or from the mouth - article doesn’t say - and washed-up onshore, it’s doubtful a vet could have saved it anyway. That’s not a good omen when one beaches itself.

I’m not defending the Chicomm touristas - never had any experience with them directly - but to blame it all on them, is probably just wrong.s not a good omen when one beaches itself.

I’m in Rome this very moment. Chinese tourists everywhere.

Cutting in line at the gelato shop. Squeezing between my son and me at the turnstiles at the Vatican. Hogging the sidewalk and forcing everyone to step into the street that is walking the other way. Swinging sun umbrellas that come up to eye level to clear a radius around them while waiting to cross the street.

Absolutely the most unmannered group of people I’ve ever come against. Like a plague of grasshoppers when they mob in somewhere.

“Chinese tourists everywhere. Cutting in line at the gelato shop.”

Chinese women are the greatest line-cutters ever in the history of the universe. It is their super-power.

I remember seeing the egyptial image that survived for thousands of years only to have chinese tourists etch their own names on them.

I hadn’t thought of that, but it all fits together now, like a Justin Raimondo thriller

Western culture is heavily influenced by Christian virtues, Chinese do not/have not been taught Christian virtues, you should see lunch time in China : )

There is no concept of "lines" in China. It is definitely a skill they need to pick up when traveling.

What a dumb article. Dolphins die every day. Why is this particular death more tragic? Photographs or Chinese?
