Need help in posting some pics I took today?
Thanks! - Cr@p, my screen broke
Are they at a web address?
Do you want them posted here?
There are others.
I have some pics on my computer I want to use in a new post about border security
Write the address on the envelope, put the pictures inside, put a stamp on it, and put it in a mailbox.
You Sir, are a gentleman and a scholar!
If you open the pictures, can you right click on them and “copy image URL”?
Facebook does the job also
Whole thread on it as above. The problem is you can't post exact html code and have it show up as text unless you disguise it as a .jpg which is more than you want to know.
You need to know the URL of the picture to do this. You can see the picture's URL when you put your cursor on the picture and right click the mouse. You see a small box with "properties" at the bottom. Left click on "properties" and you get a dialog box with the image URL and dimensions. It says Address: next to the URL, with (URL) underneath. Copy the URL and paste it after your img src= tag. Make sure you get all of the URL for the picture. There isn't a lot of space for the URL and sometimes they are very long. The image Size and Dimensions are beneath the URL. Free Republic allocates memory for each image, and if it doesn't know the dimensions of the image, it will allocate more memory than needed. It tells you the width, then the height of the picture.
This is called a hotlink. The picture is actually on another computer, but we see it here. This causes the other computer to use it's memory and machinery to provide the image. Some sites prevent it, or object to it. You can't hotlink an image from any of Yahoo's GeoCities pages, for example. Yahoo prevents it.
Do Not Cut And Paste List.
Some websites have forbidden us to copy and paste their material, including images. There have been lawsuits over this. The software will mostly prevent you from using the material that has been blocked, but not always. There are also some image sources that are not allowed on the list. Please don't use them. Lawsuits suck.
Try copying and pasting the above into your browser.
Got to host ‘em before you can post ‘em. IOW you must join a hosting site, like Photobucket, or Flicker. You post your picture there and that site will assign an “address” for it. From there it is simple. The code is:
< img src=”internet address of your picture”>
There is no space between the brackets and the rest of the HTML phrase. I have a space here because otherwise my phrase would disappear. But, when you do it for real — no spaces. There is only one space in the phrase, and that is between the img and the src.
Review it before posting to make sure it works. If you get nothing, or a red x, look over what you have typed to make sure that there are no mistakes.
I only date girls with lightning bolts by their eye. I find they’re the classiest chicks...you know keepers.
Create an account on a photo host site like Photobucket and upload your photos. The site will give you the HTML code to link to the photo. Copy and paste this code into your comments. Remember copyright laws. No problem if you took the photos yourself, but you MUST have permission to use any photos taken by someone else or photos you may have downloaded from other websites. It is possible to “hotlink” to photos on other web sites, but this may also be a copyright violation and it steals bandwidth from other sites.
The photo in your post reminds me....
What is it that the women in the History Channel’s programs, such as “The Pickers” and others, have tattoos all over their bodies? Is this a new American fad? I think it is GROSS.
Let see Nic Walllenda cross that without a net
Tattoos are for 3 things... Sailors, Livestock, and Slaves.
I think what the heck did he do? It looks like you scrambled the code so it would post as text by substituting %20 for each blank. Clever. No. It posts a photo. I'll try to figger it out.
I host my photos on flickr now and they give you the code to copy and paste. It's a lot more involved but it works.
I read the caveat about embedding photos from other sites and took note about threat of lawsuits. I posted one last night. So I will be more careful but I don't know what's allowed and not.
Several months ago I made a recipe site very mad when I posted a nice photo of a cupcake I think it was. They probably noticed higher hits or how would they know? Anyway, the site owner changed the code for the picture. Luckily it didn't substitute a naughty one but I think it wasn't too nice either.
He’d go out with a smile - lol!

Yes, hit count in addition to the fact that each visit to a site records the ip address of the user. The same way that FR records the ip addresses of everyone who visits. That is why I always download the photo, change the name and upload it to my site then post the url. I have not been caught yet! ;-)
I think livestock get brands, not tattoos.

Danielle Colby-Cushman is into a lot of things besides “The Pickers” such as her own Burlesque Le’Moustache troupe, was on roller derby team, has a clothing boutique in Chicago, etc.
Carefully and with panash
Nope, the substitutions were an artifact on the site where I got the address...
Please note, After typing in the URL, always hit “Preview” before you hit “Post”!
This way you can see if your photo will show up. If you see the photo, then it Post. If you don’t it means you did something wrong in your typing.
I love it when they are barefoot, pregnant and chained to the kitchen sink.

Depends on what type of shots the vet gives. Some will get tattooed in the ear, others on the inside of the lower lip, a brand on the horn, a notch in the ears.
We use a Mac and plenty of stamps.
those don’t look fake like most actress’s.....
I have used a site called TinyPic. You upload the picture to them from your computer, and then it’s available there for the Free Republic server to go fetch it.
You can check the dimensions of the photo and resize it if necessary before posting. They’ll give you the code to copy and paste into the thread here that will produce the picture. Use the code they call “HTML for Websites”.
If you join there for free, you’ll have your own album to store the photos for any future posting.
Please ping me when you post the new thread with the pictures :)
