We have a house in Summerville. I would look outside N. Charleston for a home. That area is becoming very ghetto-ized. I don’t even go there without a real reason. Summerville is a nice area but there are a lot of nice areas. There are lots of places to hunt and fish. Between Charleston and Orangeburg are a lot of forests and fresh water lakes. Don’t worry about what people tell you about the heat and humidity. After a few days your head will explode and you will adapt nicely after that. :) There is a huge Catholic population in the area and lots of Catholic churches, although I’m not Catholic. Let me know if you have any other questions!
