Talitha Myrvil, 28, called 911 because she had water in her apartment and needed someone to co me fix her problem, Fort Pierce Police said.
A woman was arrested after she called 911 various times instead of calling a plumber, Fort Pierce Police said.
Talitha Myrvil, 28, called 911 because she had water in her apartment and needed someone to come fix her problem. But when speaking to the dispatcher, she was told to call a plumber instead of 911, the arrest report said.
Instead of calling a plumber Myrvil decided to call 911 again, the report said.
For a second time, she was told to call a plumber—not 911.
That’s when Myrvil pulled the fire alarm so that the fire rescue could come to help her, the report said.
When fire and police arrived to her apartment, she told authorities she had pulled the alarm in hopes of getting her water problem fixed, according to the report.
“Myrvil said she did not have a number to a plumber, so she pulled the alarm,” the report said.
She was arrested June 9 for charges including misuse of 911 and pulling fire alarm without a fire. It wasn’t immediately known if she had an attorney.

The problem is your home, although deep in water, is a potential fire and electrocution hazard!
In this case though it's probable the lady didn't know what a breaker box was all about.

Let’s dig intop this a bit, just for fun.
Suppose this woman is on the dole - welfare, housiing, foodstamps, insurance, in other words all of her needs are met by government agencies. She is a ward of the state in every sense. How else should she be expected to act when confronted by a situation she cannot resolve? She turns to the only authority in her life. The poor chile was jus askin for help.

I'd suspect that, with your breaker box underwater, the water would have already tripped the breaker feeding your house (and those around yours).
