This is the first time in many years that I have put pen to paper for a lengthy letter, so please forgive my misspellings, poor handwriting or any other errors. I will probably do this in one go and be finished with it. I wont need much of this new notebook. Its a nice room, desk and chair, but really, no computer? I just wish they would stop the hammering outside. I need to focus in order to write well.
No one person could possibly expect to know the full truth about such a complex history, so near to its time. But I know what I know, saw what I saw, and heard what I heard. Now its time to set the record straight, at least about what transpired between some of the key players in the lead up to the recent events.
What I have heard called the plan began as idle office chat, nothing more. (Of course, not much chat is ever truly idle at the very highest levels of power, between senior presidential advisors.) The first time I heard it mentioned was over lunch with Dennis in the White House Mess, down in the basement next to the situation room. We were at a quiet corner table of the wood-paneled dining room, tossing ideas for the next talking points back and forth. Routine.

We in Louisiana are ready for CW2 and will secede
Brilliant, scary, and probably close to future happenings
For sure.
They’re already threatening Boner, et al. They can make noises but don’t dare cross the line.
The idea of AmRev2 makes more sense. A few individual states here and there that attempt secession will not even get as far as the Confederacy did. Stupid idea then and now.
A second Declaration declaring independence from the new “king” would be a start and any real action would start out as tenuous as the first rev did. It is estimated that at least half of the colonists did not initially support the actions of 1775-76 and that at the end at least 1/3 still were loyalists. A sizeable portion of the population at the time laid back and rode out the conflict as best they could for as long as they could.
In the end, the goals were achieved and we ended up with a Constitutional Republic which is today in dire need of restoration.

Highly preiscient, considering the date it was originally posted...and still unfolding as we speak.
More like AmRev3. AmRev2 was inappropriately called a “Civil War”.
The Confederacy had no designs on taking over the Federal government of the USA.
bump
Nope—We just wanted to be left alone to pursue our economic self-interests.

From Mr. Bracken’s prose: “I have the majority leader on a leash.I could drag him around the White House on all-fours if I wanted to...”
Future happenings? Hell, that’s YESTERDAY’s happenings! And TODAY’S. Boener is their puppy on a leash; no question about it.
That was a good read.
I can’t believe this was written 9 months ago. It reads like something based entirely on recent events. Eerily prescient, and I am fearful that the One has something like this planned. But the sermon at church yesterday was on Psalm 37:1-4. The first two verses are a wonderful promise:
Do not fret because of evildoers,
Be not envious toward wrongdoers.
For they will wither quickly like the grass
And fade like the green herb.
—Psalms 37:1-2
No, but separation as a small group of states was doomed from the beginning.
You take a side, youre along for the ride.
A traitor in front of a camera is still just a traitor."
Wow! Just wow! Go to the link. Great read.
My twin essays represent starkly different visions of the future that would-be tyrants, their hopeful henchmen and other self-deluded nimrods may want to consider, before ordering the U.S. military or federal agencies to suppress Americans.
Well done Mr. Bracken, well done.
Yes.
We know.
We are ready.
Excellent, Travis...excellent!
They under-estimate how quickly reaction would come in such a scenario.
Great short story, Matt.
Well done.
And photos of Roberts in compromising homosexual positions. Wouldn’t bet against it.
