Ok Pounds to Lose, Need a Diet, Diabeitic Friendly Meal Replacer...Obamacare Employer Requiring Loss

OK, I put on some kid and stess pounds and need to lose it. The Slimfast diet always worked for me but now I am prediabetic and trying to lose metabolic syndrome weight.

I need a meal replacer, preferable a powder that works like Slimfast with much less carbs.

The ideal? Powder that blends with milk, low carb, medium protein and medium fat.

Anyone?

It’s not cheap, but it’s got great protein, low carb, and tastes better than decent. Isopure Vanilla or Chocolate.

I like to use it as creamer in my coffee...(iced)

I highly recommend the Take Shape for Life program that utilizes Medifast and a “lean and green” meal once a day. Great program, support, variety of food products.

Do the Atkins diet. It works, and does not impose hunger pangs.

I suggest for the next few weeks that you run through Detroit carrying a confederate flag and a picture of George Wallace on the back of your shirt.

I’m sure you will really lose a lot of weight if they don’t catch you.

:-)

Please search paleo diet for diabetics. You don’t need a powder diet. You need a life change to ward off the diabetes and get healthy and trim.

“Unjury” is pretty good. It’s medical grade protein powder. The chocolate is great and they have a chickensoup flavor. You have to be careful about heating it; if you go over a certain temperature it clumps.

if you can handle it, go vegetarian for one month. no sugar drinks at all, no carbs, no meats, no fats. you caeat as much veggies as you want, save corn or high sugar/carb veggies. ie no potatos, no rice. you can use olive oil for flavoring. balsamic vinegars and mustards. italian dressing, but no french/ranch.

you wont be hungry, it’ll clean out the gunk in your intestines, and if you are normal active you’ll drop 20 pounds at least, probably more.

if you stay on a diet like this long enough, and it varies by person and how overweight the are, eventually you’ll stop losing weight and that will be your ideal weight.

Exercise. Preferably some weight training if you’re up to it. It’s good for more than just weight loss.

Eliminate all simple carbs and make your own food. Our lifestyle has moved to real food and we no longer have to watch what we eat. Try 100daysofrealfood.com for great recipes and info. I even make all of our bread now. Our food bill has slightly reduced and I know exactly what I’m feeding my family.

Was told by Weight Watchers that it wasn’t a good diet for diabetics. They suggested contacting the Diabetic Assn.

Work off more than you consume. Not easy, but simple.

My husband and I have lost weight just by giving up wheat - no bread, no pasta, no cookies or crackers, no pizza. You don’t use a wheat substitute, like rice bread. You just give it up. Eat meat, fish, vegetables, eggs, nuts, cheese, unsweetened yogurt, fresh fruit. Occasionally, not every day, rice or oatmeal or a potato. You notice there’s not sugar here either.

Giving up wheat carbs and sugar seems to reduce craving. Eating fat - this is not a low-fat diet - satisfies the brain and you don’t feel hungry so soon.

Once a week, have desert, single serving size.
